You certainly didn't dream it QPRanger, I remember that game very well. The most one sided game I have ever witnessed. Something tells me it was on a Friday night which would have suggested it was a friendly.

I have a memory of a midweek game against West Ham that ended 0-0 that we dominated. But as I recall it was Jago's QPR First Season back in Div one - Rob Abbot making home debut

Agree - fantastic stuff, I'm afraid I only started supporting QPR in the '75/'76 season, so in today's parlance, that made me a 'glory-hunter' - still hunting for the glory though........

Doesn't really matter in the slightest when you STARTED supporting QPR! It's what you've gone through as a QPR Supporter...And anyone who's stayed loyal to QPR over the past 10-15 years...a True QPR Man.

This updated comment from Mike Ferguson re the Vic Mobley thread http://qprreport.proboards.com/index.cgi....ay&thread=12143
Mike Ferguson "Saw the story of Vic Mobley, its true he did get a injury with us,he had also many injuries with Sheff W,I played against him many times at Wednesday,he was a powerful no 5 in those days, and to add,Vic was one of the nicest people you could meet, also at Wednesday he missed the Cup Final against Everton with a injury Sam Ellis took is place, they beat us (Blackburn) in the 6th rd,he was there regular Centre Half. Regards Mike Ferguson"

Moriarty I started supporting the Hoops in September 1975, so we are about the same time. Mine was the game against Villa.

Glory hunter
My first was 1976 - against Arsenal, at home 2-1, Gerry Francis with the winner - and he picked up an injury scoring it if my memory still serves me after all these years

For one season of real success we have paid the price for 34 seasons of near nothing, except the FA Cup final.

Brilliant thread - thanks! Glad I got my first season ticket in Oct 1973 so I cannot be accused of being a 1975/6 glory hunter!!! LOL

If things dont improve next season I suggest we all buy Man united Jerseys and become dedicated life long fans.

One of my favourite lines to Utd fans is that I saw George Best's last game for Utd. I usually pause whilst they babble on for a few seconds about what a genius he was etc and then I add it was in their 3 nil defeat at QPR on New Years Day 1974 in what was their relegation season. Funny, it doesn't normally go down very well!!

I was there but when I tell it, we sent Best, Law and Charlton down.
Best was shite that day and now we know why. R I P.
