Thanks CPR... People 13 December 2009 Truth stranger than friction at Loftus Rd As a young boy, I got annoyed when Roy of the Rovers' storylines passed from the unlikely to the frankly unbelievable. Like when Melchester were decimated by terrorists or when Roy Race signed Steve Norman and Gary Kemp from Spandau Ballet (this much is true). But then I wasn't aware what life would be like at 21st century Queens Park Rangers. After gun-wielding gangsters in the directors box, three of the world's richest men take over and fill the place with supermodels, then manager Jim Magilton is suspended for allegedly head-butting a player. One ex-employee is writing a book about it all - a must-read for sure, but Waterstones will have to create a whole new department for it. Not 'fiction' or 'non-fiction' but the 'truth is stranger than s***' section. www.people.co.uk/news/news/tm_method=full%26objectID=21893709%26siteID=93463-name_page.html

Was there ever anything to this? Who was it? Was it just a media story. Or was there going to be a book and it was stopped - either by the ex-employee not wanting to get into legal issues, or being persuaded not to?
