Seem to have a habit of getting rid of strikers that score lately...

Still Haq he played in three games, took about 20 on goal and one went in, most toward the upper stand.
He scores best by the sea, Plymoth and blackpool. Watford is near the Ruislip Lido, so dont know if that counts?
Again he has to pass a physical, and he hasnt passed ours yet. Still he will be happier because our game plan is to gradually eliminate the striker from football and so far, so good.

And Watford Official Site
HEIDAR’S HOME Tue 15 Sep 2009 HEIDAR Helguson has today (Tuesday) joined Watford on loan from Queens Park Rangers.
The 32-year-old signs for the Golden Boys until the end of December from the west Londoners.
It is the second addition to Malky Mackay's squad this week, after the arrival of Craig Carthcart on loan from Manchester United.
Helguson will provide some added firepower and experience for the Hornets in attack, while no doubt also displaying some of the never-say-die attitude he showed during his earlier spell at Vicarage Road.
During his first spell with the Club, he was a fans' favourite and the front man picked up the Player of the Season award in 2004/05, after a year of fine displays where he netted 20 times for the 'Orns.
Helguson signed for Watford in January 2000 from Lillestrom and left in the summer of 2005, after finding the back of the net 64 times in 148 starts for the Club.
Since leaving Vicarage Road, the Icelandic international firstly joined Fulham and then Bolton.
He arrived at QPR after a successful loan spell at Loftus Road at the start of the year where he grabbed three goals in just five starts, he then made the move south permanent at the end of the January transfer window.
In three starts so far this season, the former Hornet has bagged one goal.
The striker will link up with his new team mates after tonight's game with Plymouth.

Helguson joins an elite list of "Special" Paladini-era signings: Ugo Ukah, Armel Tchakounte, Dean Sturridge, Generosso Rossi and quite a few others.

Can we say with certainty now: The Saga of Heidar Hellgusson is over?.. The iceman cometh, the iceman goeth, the iceman going, going, gone. but one matter will live on in the annals of QPR history. Did he have or not have a physical? Did he pass or not pass his physical. Goodbye Dear Heidar, we wish you well. Sorry your stay was not so pleasant.

Well the trouble is, he's not gone for good. And Watford can't afford his salary. So either we take up some of the burden of his salary and continue to pay him at Watford, (or elsewhere) or we take him back.
Now why we wouldn't want to keep this player, that was presumably brought to us by Sporting Director Paladini, I cannot say.
As for whether he ever passed - or ever failed a medical: Well one man says he never failed. Many others suggested that he had failed. Now who are you going to believe?

That will remain one of QPRs mysteries for all time. But he should go, we have plenty of money and we should give him as a christmas gift.

Will he be coming home soon? Flashback a year to the man with the "sources" Decembe 22, 2008 - London Informer/Paul Warburton - Heidar Helguson is QPR ace after gambleQPR’s Heidar Helguson was last choice for a loan-signing - but may just turn out to be their best hope of a play-off place. Heidar Helguson notched his second and third goals in a hooped shirt on Saturday to ease Rangers to a vital 3-2 win over Preston at Loftus Road. Although top-scorer Dexter Blackstock came off the bench to grab his 10th of the season with a looping header to seal the points, manager Paulo Sousa was full of praise for on-loan Helguson. But Informer Sport can reveal the former Fulham forward was last-chance saloon earlier this month after efforts to borrow both Ched Evans and Daniel Sturridge from Manchester City came to nothing. An Rs source admitted: "Heidar had been injured, and it was a gamble. But sometimes you throw down an ace."Rangers will look to make Helguson a permanent £1m signing in January. qprreport.blogspot.com/2008/12/qpr-player-makes-championship-team-of_22.html
