I would NEVER slag off my beloved QPR, but this is about the club shop. AS we are now 'rich' I find the prices pretty over the top even compared to top premier league shops. As a true fan I still spent 60 quid for a rain jacket, 45 quid for a track top and what was described as a 'Chunky Badge'. I expected a nice 'Chunky Badge but got a thing that was less than half an inch high and impossible to read, that came to over 7 quid. But what really got me going was the lack of playing shirts especially the retro ones. I don't know about you guys, but on a retro shirt I like to have the name of the player and the number on the back but... they don't print on retro shirts!! Am I the only one that would love a 76' shirt with BOWLES and the number 10 on it? In the end I went to 'Toffs'. It was not cheap but it was long sleeved (another choice the shop don't give you!) thick, genuine cotton and BOWLES 10 on the back. I also bought the 67' league cup winners all white shirt with and I had MARSH 10 on the back (you can have any name you want!) When I got them, I was over the moon. They were REAL quality. I would much rather spend my money at the club I love, but the choices were not there. It it too much to ask to have names of previous legends in stock? At some clubs, they have a legends and idols section. I have found 2 Stan Bowles Tee- Shirts on other sites, 2 of Tony Currie.... all in a Sheffield UTD kit (I can understand that, but what's stopping a Rangers version in OUR SHOP? But the best, was one of a disfigured Rodney Marsh in Blue under the Man City section and in white for FULHAM!!!!!!! and that was it. Surely we can have 'Legends Range' with all the obvious players of choice or choose your own? Or a legends shirt with a montage of all the top lads. A shirt, poster, clock etc of Mike Keen holding aloft the league cup in 67' Am I asking too much in having a nice big range of playing shirts through the years with name and number as choice instead of relying on Ebay? In short, everything QPR in one place ... OUR SHOP! We don't want Jack Daniels T-shirts or vodka T-shirts! I think we only have one DVD and a few books. WE can't even buy home shorts for the home top, but we can but some grass... yep, some grass from the pitch.Things like that should come free if you buy over 50 quid for example. We have ONE product on one of our very few super stars a CD by Stan. How can you have a QPR shop without a single product on Rodney Marsh? like him or not, we should have a Marsh range! What about Ferdinand products instead we are forced to sort through teddy bears with blue and white scarves. Are you satisfied with one Stan Bowles product? Perhaps visits from some of our beloved players, past and present to meet us twice a year for signings maybe? It's a game for the working classes and just like music tickets which was for the 'People' also... if there is anything decent, you can't afford it! Please make the shop a place where we DO NOT have to look anywhere else. And PLEASE let's have a choice of retro names and numbers to go on the back of shirts. The shop should be the first place you look for ANYTHING.... NOT the last!!! Why should we surf for hours for Rangers stuff, when we can have it ALL in one place .... The Loftus Road Superstore!!!! LONG LIVE THE R's!!!!!!!

Brilliant post Terry and from the heart. Perhaps Scott's mate that monitors all the boards can pick up on this. Mind you, the shop should put names and numbers on any shirt, if that's what you want. After all, you are paying. Great post, I have a gnome and it's watching me now, which is worrying!

Throw Loftus Rd grass at it and it rows off in a QPR rubber duck! But I have to be honest, go through the amount of playing shirts (NONE you can number apart from the new top) and be honest on what strikes you as 'Good' Tee-shirts and see how many you come up with! None of us want to see our club lose money because people are forced to go elsewhere over lack of choice. It sounds trivial, but I bet there a hell of a lot of loyal hoops who want BOWLES and 10 on the back of their shirts. I can assure you mate, it makes you feel good compared to a blank kit.... it's unique!

I've only seen the online - and the old shop. But one of the things I expected from the Takeover and the new sponsors, etc, was high professionalism/commercialism. Good for them. Good for us.

I Agree. But it's been a terrible year. First, I lost my beloved Dad, favourite Uncle and 2 best mates all in a week and a half... Now my Mum is really ill !!!!!!!
I'm trying to get together the money to cheer myself up with an XXL, 1982,HOME, hooped shirt (as opposed to the red shirt) That would REALLY cheer me up,my Dad and my Uncle were Hoops for 50years! But all the expenses have left me with nothing. I'm a distant relative of Tony Currie, so if I had it printed I would have to have his full name TONY CURRIE because i'm T. CURRIE and number 10. Even if I had the blank back without the name and number, I would find a print shop. Feel free to send one, I won't be offended..... God, that would be Heaven! Anyway, I would to see more in the shop.

A few collectors items for the shop. Limited 67' League cup final DVD signed by Rodney Marsh + 'Priceless' Rodney's Autobiography signed + posters etc. Stan Bowles Autobiography etc signed. Venables Autobiography signed.'Sir Les' Signed. Best of Marsh and Bowles DVD's (It's amazing how many people have strong opinions but have never seen them play or Tony Currie at his best! then you can make up your own mind on Rangers longest running argument that goes on to this day!) DVD of Marsh against Pele, Best,Cruff etc for Tampa Bay Rowdies (I personally would love that. I was very disappointed with 'Once in a life time') Match Worn and signed shirts by our lads. (You may think i'm mad or boring, but I have seen sites making a fortune out of this stuff.... Trust me!) But I feel strongly that we should have a 'Legends and Icons' section and a small collectors section. AS I said, when I spend money, I would much rather spend it at my beloved QPR! as it is, I can't do that. If this thread is boring I apologize to my fellow hoops and I will shut up. But if not, I would really like to hear what you would like to see in our shop or do you think it's perfect as it is?

You guys have got it all wrong wrong and wrong! The QPR club shop should be specialising in 500 quid gucci sunglasses and 300 quid denim designer Jeans, Who really gives a shit about QPR - The Identity?? Or QPR - The historical aspect?

Have to admit the few times I went in the shop last season I was shocked by the poor choice, the low quality of some of the stuff and the total tackiness of a lot of the items. And don't even get me started on the online shop.....
Mind you having just spent almost 200 euros on 3 kids Real Madrid tops (58€ for a small kids and 80€ for a teenager.) I am not going to complain too much about the prices...
Sorry to hear about your year mate. Hope your mum gets well soon....

Must admit, went to the shop the other day and came out without a thing. Nearly bought a few bits but that would have been for the sake of it. Deffo think they need to increase the range for kiddies and babies (i wanted to buy some stuff for my friends new born baby)...but they were so expensive, I think it was £7/£8 for a couple of cack little bibs!

There was a clip of the Man U shop on TV this morning, It looks like Harrods! And it showed the staff printing names and numbers on shirts while the customer waited, so surely it can't be that hard? And i'm sorry folks but what was wrong with our 'REAL LOGO' ? I just can't get used to the new one. And I hope we have even just a few England products (Surely we will stock the red 1966 shirt) For World Cup year? and surely it has to be sorted so that iconic shirt can be printed on?!!? Also some nice Saint Georges Crosses products with QPR on them... Club and Country. And once the fever starts (As it always does) Wouldn't it be great to attend an audience with Rangers boys who have played in the world cup like Terry Fenwick and Paul Parker? one who was in the 'Hand of God game' and one who got closer to the final with England since 1966. It will seem a good idea at the time And a big screen, with low commentary showing the 1967 league cup final, with some of the players talking through it, or other games ie clips of the 75/76 season with Stan, Gerry, Phil Parkes, Don Givens taking questions etc. TRUST ME, these REALLY do work because I used to do exactly the same thing with boxing, where Roberto Duran, Sugar Ray Leonard etc would talk trough their fights... they were packed! BUT ... Loyal Hoops will always have first chance to buy tickets, they don't come second to ANYONE! In fact regular audience with's would be fantastic. Mark Lazarus and of course Marsh and Bowles and Currie... there's so many! But, as I say, QPR fans get a weeks headstart to ensure loyal Hoops get the best seats first. I bet some of you think i'm a complete idiot... but it makes sense to me. ;D ;D and I have done the audience thing so many times! And a range of products will be for sale at the venue, so if it's a '67 night great framed photos with the cup, the programme signed in a frame ...again loyal hoops will get a discount on merchandise. I'm interested to know what you think. I love the family feeling of this site

I'm not sure if Bowles any long does anything with the club (as opposed to maybe some fans)

A few beers in the bok or the smuts usually does the job. ;D Would you want a flag with that crest? I wouldn't. I have three England flags with the old club crest in the centre.

Cheers folks. Is anyone connected to anyone at the shop or club in general? I just showed a mate the online shop and he was disgusted by the prices and laughed his head off at most of the stock!!!! I don't like Rangers being laughed at! WE must have some connection?

no doubt he has certain influences from the tossers in commercial on him though

I have no doubt he's a top bloke and as ever, probably has tons of bosses. I'm not blaming the working class man because that's what 99% of us are, I don't think any of us from the Bush, Acton, Hammersmith etc got a yacht for our 18th Birthday from Daddy, but it would be nice to know that the money men at Rangers listen to what we want and what the guy who runs the shop suggests. They have to realize they are business men NOT football men. I meant no offence to your pal at the shop.

Just wanted to re highlight that sometimes the staff we interact with get it in the neck and dont deserve it - same goes for the box office staff. I think we get angry sometimes and forget that they're only as good as the training and tools they have. And that often it's the men in suits who are to blame. Shock, horror, during my incident the other day I even dealt with 3 stewards who were actually brilliant, understanding and professional. The head of security (the ex copper employed after "that" incident) was the main dude behind the situation it seems. Anyhow I digress! Completely agree (as i said earlier in this post) that the shop has some very expensive items and a lot of what i would call "tat". It would be nice to see some of the ranges expanded and a better range of prices!

Well done Tel, said what everybody was thinking with the clubshop. I can't speak for everybody but i can't afford to spend 120 quid on a pair of trainers with the Rangers badge on them. Let alone a scarf for 125 quid i got one with my membership pack for 30! Which brings me onto the subject of WHERE IS MY MEMBERSHIP CARD? ? Machine has been broken for 2 months now, don't give a stuff about the fans anymore, got my money thats what matters......

Scott, I understand completely how your pal feels. Everytime I got to middle management, I realized I was just a puppet for the Porche driving boys! Middle management is the worst because you get from those above and those below. I would never shout and scream at the working class man on minimum wage trying to keep his family together. It's the same on a higher scale, I disagree with the war in Afghan and Iraq and despise the governments.... BUT I LOVE our troops with a passion! went a bit heavy there but you get my drift Scott. Your pal Tel
