Saints appoint new number two
SAINTS have appointed Dean Wilkins as assistant manager.
The 47 year-old former Brighton manager was unveiled as the first addition to new manager Alan Pardew's backroom staff this afternoon.
Wilkins, the brother of Chelsea assistant Ray, began his playing career as an apprentice at Queens Park Rangers.
After that came spells at Brighton, Leyton Orient and PEC Zwolle before he returned to finish his career at the Seagulls.
