Going out of business ?, or is it just a case of one man being the problem ??
The reason I ask this is because a lot of the players we are signing at present seem to be cut from exactly the same cloth as the type of players we signed before Flavio Briatore came in and "Saved QPR" Tm courtesy of WATRB's .com
Does anyone actually know whats really going on ?? Prmotion talk is so far wide of the mark its just not even worth talking about it, its that unrealistic especially when you see how clubs like Forest are gearing up for the new campaign.
And even if we didnt have any money or the owners / "speculators" were unwilling to spend any money in this financial climate ( which is entirely their prerogative by the way ), then surely we could improve our squad by "wheeling & dealing" in the transfer market, is this where that one particular individual becomes the single factor as to why we appear to be so adverse to progressing like other clubs, dont we want to progress ? & if that is the case, then why is that ?
It would appear to me that we must be one of the most unprogressive if not THE most unprogressive club in this league, even clubs like Doncaster have scouting networks & set ups at their club that are light years ahead of anything currently going on down at Loftus Road.

Come on KLR, its 3 weeks to the start. We can be all doom and gloom 3-4 months in, but right now lets be a bit positive.
i've seen you've tried in another post, thats more the spirit.

HOLY MACKEREL!
After the truly shocking & hate fuelled campaigns launched against me for not towing "the official party line" I was seriously considering becoming an fully sanctioned official club apparatchik, but I have decided that if they are going to kill me, then they are going to kill me anyway, hopefully if I go for a swim with the fishes people will not forget my contribution & voice of dissent & an independent statue will be erected of me as a club martyr that saw fit to swim against the tide of filth, corruption & lies! IN SOUSA WE TRUST!

Excellent post klr. I fail to see anything negative about it.
Positive = what is true, negative = what is false. As nobody has any idea how we will do, it can't be negative for you to suggest we might not be exceptionally fine. If we had completed the season, won all our games, and played with an unexampled brilliance not witnessed at Loftus Road since we actually had footballers in the team, your tone might seem a little churlish.
But you give your reasons, based on the facts as you see them.
Of course, you have overlooked the contribution Figo and Zidane are likely to make, and the elevating effect of our imminent appearance in the Champions League for the first time - is it 2 or 3 years away, I can't remember - but these are minor quibbles.
So keep up the good work. Any negatives at QPR are put there fairly and squarely by the board and the shareholders. They are responsible for the enormous losses, the vast debts, the 'quality' of the football, the '20,000' average attendances, the 'record' season ticket sales, and the herd of players - 'squad' is a little too organised to apply to what we're usually treated to - added to constantly at extraordinary expense and, in many if not most cases, for no apparent reason.
I am not one who believes that the performance of the team or the Club is affected adversely by the negative attitude of the supporters. It is the supporters whose hopes are constantly thwarted by the players, the managers and the 'investors'.
Either they don't know what they are doing, or they do, and are doing it deliberately. You may be as optimistic as you like in deciding which.
In conclusion, though, I would say this. Let's look on the bright side. Every cloud has a silver lining. There's light at the end of the tunnel. Etc.
Maybe we can now consider the specific points you've made. I, for one, wonder whether any Club except one or two - Arsenal and Liverpool are hardly 'successful' Clubs, and Chelsea can't even score with a free shot from 12 yards - can reasonably say that it is getting it right. They all TRY different youth schemes and transfer policies, 'business plans' - a euphemism for losing the Club's money - not to mention innumerable managers, but the arithmetic of the game must surely defeat them all in the long term, even the most successful.
At any rate, that's how it has worked out up to now.
1 winner, 91 losers, that's football. With one or two exceptions, every Club's history consists almost entirely of failure . Even United - or Brazil - have failed to win the overwhelming number of competitions they've entered. There's nothing wrong with that, it makes the rare successes all the sweeter. And surely the fearsome competitiveness of the game makes them all the more creditable. Otherwise 1967 and 1976 would hardly be the landmarks we rightly take them for.
True, the reality of how rare success REALLY is doesn't appear to the PR men, but none of them know how to win anything, and their pretentious claims are no more empty just because the credulous take them at face value. Once upon a time, a mentality based on sportsmanship recognised the value of losing, because without it, success is unthinkable. Our Clubs may be less sporting now than they once were, but they are also far less successful.
Because fewer Clubs win the major trophies in England than ever before.
So don't be put off telling it like it is. It is just your opinion, as the views of others are just theirs. But the results, the league tables, the losses and debt, and the Club's trophy cabinet for that matter, don't lie.

By the way, for the club apparatchiks behind the sick campaign to discredit & ultimately kill me, my resolve remains strong & the question "Are QPR going out of business ?" remains a completely 100% valid question to ask. "Onwards & Upwards" for you maybe, but for me, my heart tells me something different & I love QPR too much to lie.

Even if klr was in a minority of one and his views were rejected by everyone (and I would say that probably is not the case); that shouldn't matter. And it certainly would not matter with respect to this board. He's not being abusive. He's offering his perspective. And of course people are free to offer their opinions about his view. Again without the abuse (and hopefully without the mockery)
No one should be afraid to offer an opinion because their opinion is not a popular one. And of course no one should be attacked as being "anti" the club for offering one set of views or another. If one didn't care about QPR, one wouldn't have feelings, positive or negative.
I'll elaborate another time. But the whole premise of this site is that differing views can be expressed. And if others on other sites want to link to these views; fabulous. If they want to post their own response; equally good. Ideally, If someone feels klr's views are wrong, show how and why, rather than just say "wrong"
