Not sure where he is now. But you're right. He was axed in December by Weymouth. 25 Years ago when he was the hot coach of Chelsea, we tried very hard to bring him in as manager, post-Venables or post Mullery.
BBC - Weymouth dismiss manager Hollins Hollins spent less than a year in charge of Weymouth Weymouth have confirmed that their manager John Hollins has been sacked.
Hollins was suspended in November while the club investigated alleged breaches of his contract.
Weymouth chairman Malcolm Curtis said: "John has the option of appealing but I am confident our case is watertight and in the best interests of Weymouth."
The former Chelsea midfielder and Swansea boss was appointed in January and saved the club from relegation to Blue Square South last season.
His departure follows a disciplinary hearing, attended by Hollins, a Professional Footballers Association representative and Terras officials.
Curtis added: "After appointing John Hollins last January, things went superbly. He installed respect and discipline into the camp and kept us in the Blue Square Premier which had been his brief.
"However we hardly saw him during the close season and it was left to his assistant Alan Lewer to do all the work and sign all the players.
"I began to worry when John eventually turned up at the end of pre-season and had to be introduced to the players. That was embarrassing and unfortunately was a sign of things to come.
It was embarrassing for me and for the Woking chairman and I'm sure our supporters will feel let down by John's actions
Terras chairman Malcolm Curtis "Since then he has failed to turn up for training on a number of occasions and has not kept within the strict playing budget that was set for him."
Curtis said the most serious breach of contract came when Hollins is alleged to have approached Woking about their vacant managers' position earlier this season.
"We got wind that John had spoken to Woking," explained Curtis, "but he denied it and I was tempted to dismiss it as just another rumour".
"But I rang Woking's chairman who said he'd look into it and he came back to say that yes, John had spoken to a couple of club's directors about the job.
"To me, that's not the behaviour of someone committed to Weymouth or who even cares about Weymouth Football Club.
"It was embarrassing for me and for the Woking chairman and I'm sure our supporters will feel let down by John's actions, the same way that both Alan Lewer and the players felt let down."
606: DEBATE This was always on the cards. The players will be next and I am sure the club, if it is as skint as it says will be trying to cut back even further
Jimmythecuckoo With Hollins departed, Alan Lewer will now get the opportunity to prove his worth in charge of the Terras in a caretaker capacity.
"Alan Lewer has been a real credit throughout this difficult time and he will now assume the responsibility of first team manager on a caretaker basis", added Curtis.
"Hopefully we can now move on and put this business behind us." BBC

26 managers since I started supporting the R's?? Either I am getting very old or that is quite disgusting really. I remember in the West Ham boasting 4 Managers in something like 60 years. If only we had that sort of stability.

Lil Zed is only 7 and has seen us play under 9 managers so far but she only remembers Olly. He is "The very nice man who got all the players to sign my shirt"
I'm up to 31 on that list.

And for five of those years, Ian Holloway was the guy...
For a long time, (post 1967) QPR managers were around 2-3 seasons...But now ynder Briatore: If our new manager (whoever it is) is actually our manager a year from now, I think most people will be pretty surprised. It's the antithesis of what all the managerial studies show about stability.

I think Gordon Jago has THE record. Appointed for a second time by Gregory after Venables left. And then fired a week later before he even took up the job.

Is there really a manager coming ? The whole infastructure of the club is steadily being eroded. Less admin staff, less coaching staff , less players- why not less management staff. It would cost less money and less money seems to be the over riding concern at QPR.
