Pete says he answered in his blog. "I've given the answer so many times. I won't be repeating it for people like you. Its in my blog if you bother to read." OK...Well I haven't gone back but as I recall Pete's answer has been that he can't answer/legal issues. But maybe I'm wrong. I want to be fair, if someone can find Pete's answer, I'd be happy to post it here. Pete's blogs are here www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/blog.php?u=8(and just in case he meant he posted in response to me, my blog on WATRB is here www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/blog.php?u=48

Well I've started reading. And actuallly.... It seems to be more an explanation why can't answer how he knew; than a response to validating his assertion. (Ditto for Helguson, even as keeps saying he passed. "He Passed. He passed. He passed Anyway, what about/..."?

So to recap:
A messageboard poster with very few WATRB posts suddenly comes on to WATRB with a post about a purported conversation he had with Sousa. A few claims. Two in particular ( besides re Blackstock): Helguson failed a medical and Sousa wanted a Portugese player on a free.
Suddenly Pete comes on with the news - never previously been discussed on the boards that no: Helguson HAD passed a medical. And two that the Portugese player had been a fee required and more. Exact quotes below
"[Sousa] went on to tell me that the day he became manager the board signed Helguson EVEN THOUGH he failed a medical!"
Pete clarified: "Just for the record Helgusson never failed a medical, played and scored for Iceland 3 days before signing for QPR, nice piece on the official web-site, the day he signed."
The poster reported Sousa said: "He wanted to bring in a left back from portugal who he said was exactaly what we needed, baring in mind this player was a FREE TRANSFER the board wouldnt back him."
Pete's response "By the way the Portugal defender was wanted for £300,000 for which Sousa would have got a cut n the deal."
So where this "information"/assertion have come from. Only two possibilities I can think of. 1) Pete made it all up, which I don't believe. 2) Pete was told this by "someone" at the club. And then besides WHERE Pete got the information from is the actual substance of this assertion. It's a very secific assertion which really should be substantiated. Or Apologized for making And if it's not true, the person who told Pete this should be axed for spreading a story.

And Pete's latest blog post (which he and others will then read here and then and then and so on. - Of course this hasn't stopped Pete from posting time and again how Helguson DID pass a medical and that the other reports are inaccurate All Posts Regarding When Sousa Left Posted Today at 09:41 AM by qblockpete ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Actually quite happy, that qpr=report messageboard is talking about it. Anyone calls, then I shall point them in the direction to where it is being discussed. For legal reasons, I will keep out of it. www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/blog.php?b=275#commentsAnd the IslworthRanger level of accuracy persist "Shame there are only about four posters reading it on there though." (IslworthRanger latest tagline for some strange reason is my quote from my QPR Vital Football interview"Saw my first game in our 1967/1968 2nd Division promotion season - went with a friend of the family who headed the St Johns Ambulance Brigade group at QPR. So I got in Free and stood on the sidelines which was very cool. That's how I saw my games in 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970.... " - Wonder why he selected that quote ! ]

Its an incredibly serious allegation, that a manager would want to buy a player and then receive a commission. That sounds more like the behaviour of a Football Agent not of an ex-player in his first job in management. It would be serious enough to sue someone over if it came to PS's attention, now if that was the case Pete might have to retract the statement or say how he knew it to be true but of course if that was from an Insider in the club surely for consistancy they'd have to be fired. He is painted into a corner and hides behind the thin veil of legal action. Who is suing who in this matter? What proceedings are there and in what court?

One would think that if one had a manager who made such a demand, it would be incumbent upon the club not only to not fulfill his request, but to actually report such a demand to the Football authorities; and even to axe the manager for making such a demand.

Yes, that would be nice. Meanwhile over in the real world............
