Fisher Athletic BBC - End of line for non-league Fisher Relegated Blue Square South club Fisher Athletic have been officially wound up in the High Court. Last month the south London non-league outfit were granted 21 days to repay their debt to the Inland Revenue. "I'm very disappointed for the owners and the people who have worked hard to make this club successful," Fisher chairman Martin Eede told BBC Sport. "The implications for the future of the club will become clearer over the next few days." newsvote.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_conf/8048100.stmSee www.fisherathletic.co.uk/13-05-2009 The High Court in London today ruled that Fisher Athletic Football Club be wound up with immediate effect. The owners QC argued for more time to pay the Inland Revenue a figure reported to be in and around GBP 250,000.00 but to no effect. Companies House had earlier dissolved Fisher Athletic from their records. DOWN BUT NOT OUT! The Official website will remain operational and updated throughout the summer and beyond as the 'Acting' Supporters Trust look to explore further possibilities and reform the club lower down the Non league pyramid in the near future. Further reaction to follow.

Shame. I watched them a few times and attended a fair few functions at their ground. One engagement party on a Saturday went on 'til the Monday morning.

I used to play against them about 30 years ago. Saturday and Sunday teams, they won everything!
