Neymar is soooo overrated [image] [image]

Lucas Moura is sooo much better.

Reckon Taarabt would do better than Neymar if he played in the Brazilian league

GB looked Sunday league in the first half. Looking better now but only because Brazil have eased up.

Jack Butland is amazing. Will be better than Hart in a few years. Wish we had got him instead of Green (who I am very happy with though).

If we have any money left we should buy him and loan him back to Birmingham like Man City did with Hart

Let's be honest, most defenders in the Brazilian league's are very average. Taarabt can mug off defenders in the Premier league, something I haven't seen Neymar do yet. His skills weren't very effective today.

Absolutely correct and I bow to your superior knowledge. You would have thought that after 10 years watching football here I would have known that, so thank you for telling me.

Just giving my opinion on a player, no need to be so sarcastic.

No need, altho I will carry on thinking our standard of football is a tad better than average - except for Palmeiras who will always be dire - but will reserve the right to change my mind after tonights game. lol.

Mr Neymar has come in for torrents of criticism down here last night and this morning. Not only from the press but the team captain has told him to clean up his act and put a shift in! Even a gold medal in the Olympics wont be enough if it isnt acheived in style, and Menezes knows his job is on the line if they dont deliver both.

Watch out in London for the Corinthians FC advertising campaign along with Nike as they are proposing an "anti Chelsea" campaign ahead of the World Club Championships in order to boost support amongst the "anti chelsea peoples". Why, apart from boosting shirt sales I dunno. I will therefore be joining in the charm offensive :)

Rory's shirt will be in the post if he send me a pm :)

Plus he couldn't get past Cleverley either. ;D

Maybe watching the wrong game.

Japan are beating Canada 1-0 and USA and France drawing 2-2. Both games are heading towards half-time.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter has plays down the chances of Great Britain football teams competing at future Olympics. He said: ""Everything is possible but this would need a different approach and you have seen the difficulties they have already had to field a combined team here in London. So for the football family, and especially the four associations and Uefa, I don't think it is likely to be done."

What has this got to do with Blatter? Surely the Olympics are outside of his jurisdiction?

What a balls up to have made, who do most North Koreans dislike the most
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-18991619

London 2012: North Koreans walk off after flag row

The North Korean women's football team walked off the pitch at their Olympic match in Glasgow after their images were shown on a screen beside a South Korean flag.

Kick-off was scheduled for 19:45 BST but the game started over an hour late.

North Korea beat Colombia 2-0 in the second of the Olympic matches held at Hampden Park on Wednesday.

Games organisers in London have apologised to North Korean officials for the mistake.

The error occurred when a video package was being shown ahead of kick-off, with the North Koreans noticing that their faces were being pictured alongside the South Korean flag.

The squad walked off and could only be persuaded to return when the teams were announced again with each player's face displayed next to the North Korean flag.

The BBC's sports editor David Bond said it was an "embarrassing mistake" and not the start Games organisers would have wanted on the first day of sporting action, but "no great harm was done".

Relations between the two Koreas have been tense since the outbreak of the Korean War.

Speaking after the match, North Korea's coach Sin Ui Gun said: "Our team was not going to participate unless the problem was solved properly.

"Unfortunately it took some time later for the broadcast to be done again properly and we made the decision to go on with the match."

He added: "Our players cannot be shown especially with other flags, especially the South Korean one.

"If this matter had not been solved, continuing would have been a nonsense."

A statement released by London 2012 organisers said: "Today ahead of the women's football match at Hampden Park, the South Korean flag was shown on a big screen video package instead of the North Korean flag.

"Clearly that is a mistake, we will apologise to the team and the National Olympic Committee and steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen again."

It was not immediately clear who had produced the video which was shown in the stadium.

London 2012 spokesman Andy Mitchell said: "The South Korean flag was shown in the video package on the screen before the kickoff and the North Koreans were naturally very upset about that.

"We have made a full apology to the team and the North Korean NOC. A genuine mistake was made for which we apologise."

South Korea will face North Korea in the first round of the men's Olympic table tennis team event after the pair were drawn against each other on Wednesday.

The first event of the Olympics got under way at 1600 BST at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on Wednesday and ended in a win for Team GB over New Zealand in the women's football. Two matches also took place at the City of Coventry stadium.
