 Next Captain?

Who do you think will be the new captain?

One of the old guard? Maybe Green? I'd like to see Faurlin - but not sure Hughes will agree.

Hughes has not seen Faurlin play for us yet since he has been here
I dont think we have an obvious candidate for the job

Offhand would think Ferdinand - Unless we buy someone else. Nelsen and Hill (and of course Derry) would be possibles if they're destined to play most of the matches

Think Ferdinand is a little less vocal and animated, therefore i would go for Hill or Derry... Nelson has not earned it just yet.....

I'd go for Ale Faurlin too, forgot Hughes hasn't seen him play though. Him or Hill, assuming he's going to be playing regularly

Don't think you have to "Earn it" in the sense of having been with the club.

Terry - G-d - Venables was (Rightfully) made Captain of QPR immediately on Joining...And one of the best we've ever had. (Of course he was more a Player coach captain from day one.)

Barton also got it straight away, didn't earn it and didn't deserve it on previous records, especially with the way he left Newcastle.

Kieron Dyer anyone?

Faurlin and Ferdinand seem too quiet for me, Derry and Hill the natural 'leaders' type but don't know how much game time MH has in mind for either, maybe that's what he's brought Nelson in for ?

Christopher Samba.

Silly me he has not signed yet, all joking aside I would make Hill my Captain from the current crop.

Sorry Eskey, I don't agree with you about Green. I have never been convinced that a goalkeeper captain is a sensible idea. You really should have someone at the centre of play. I would go with the Derry or Hill camp (in that order) but, as has rightly been said, there is no guarantee that either will be in the majority of games.

We Need a Center Half...We Need a Captain...

Faurlin would be a good option. But I always thought having a british or at least english speaking captain was a good thing, so that our captain would be more credible in the ref's eyes.

It's between Faurlin, Ferdinand, Hill and maybe a new player. But my vote would go to Anton Ferdinand.

With no disrespect meant to them, I do hope that neither Hill or Derry are captain.

Both have served us very well but the captain must be a regular in the side & hopefully that will exclude both of these two.

I suspect that next seasons captain is not yet at the club (no I have no idea who it could be).

Outside contender of Onouha. Conducts himself very well on and off the pitch and I think next season we will see what he is really capable off. He came into the team whilst we were in a relegation battle and he hadn't had regular first team football in months.

Onouha for me too. Not sure Ferdinand is a cert to hold down a place. He did improove under Hughes but was sometimes woefull under Warnock.

Neither Ferdinand or Onouha for me. I've read too many reports in the season round-ups essentially saying that neither he nor Ferdinand are great communicators, hence why our defensive record improved massively with Clint Hill moving into the centre of defense.

I would like to see Hill (and he is constantly on the QPR website at the moment), but wouldn't be too surprised if the captaincy goes to a new as yet unknown signing.

Maybe an unpopular choice but I think Luke Young is the guy to give it to. Experienced, drama free and when fit. should be in at Right back each and every week.......

Won't be a starting player next season, wouldn't be surprised to see him be sold.
