Ok from reading various Greek sports newspapers Katidis hasnt travelled home with Aris from their friendlies and from what i understand he isnt in the plans of the manager as i think he knows he is on his way out. We are the most likely destination just some monetary adjustments with his bonus and he should be a hoop. My opinion of him being a Greek is that he is in the top 3 young prospects currently coming out of Greece. He capatines the Under 19 squad all the way to the final (beat England in the semi-final so most of you guys wouldve seen him play there). Was the main catalyst for the squad and broke into the Aris starting 11 last year. Likes to play the number 10 role, but can also defend. Tall, fast, strong and a leader, so can virtually play anywhere in the midfield. Weve witnessed just a taste of what Vellios did at Everton and he only cost a mere 150K. I personally will buy all 3 kits with Katidis on the back because it really couldnt get any better being a QPR fan. So all in all after watching him for almost a full season last year in the super league i think hes going places and if we do sign him he can easily be Faurlin's predecessor... Heres praying the first ever Greek signs for QPR, you guys wont hear the end of it sounds promising...hope it happens

I think he will still go out on loan, but just to a higher league. If we are going to keep Barton around then we need him to be playing football of a higher standard than that.
Maybe send him to Wolves. I reckon Karl Henry would give him the humility he needs.
Does the loan window shut at the same time as the transfers window?

Chalk up another one? QPR out to be Gallas' fourth different London club Hughes wants to add the experience of the former Chelsea and Arsenal defender, who's been told he can leave Spurs by new boss AVB Got! Got! Got! Not got! Will Gallas add a spell at QPR to his CV? Pete Norton QPR boss Mark Hughes is targeting William Gallas as he steps up his search for a new central defender. Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas will allow the Frenchman to leave as he puts his stamp on White Hart Lane. ‘Sparky’ Hughes is continuing his own rebuilding job, and sees the 34-year-old adding vital experience to his back four. If a deal can be struck, Rangers will become the fourth London club of Gallas’ career. He spent five years at Chelsea and four at Arsenal before his switch to Tottenham two years ago. Gallas, who won 84 France caps, has one year left on his current deal. If he takes the Rangers offer he will follow Hughes’ other summer recruits, Junior Hoilett, Ryan Nelsen, Robert Green, Ji-sung Park and Andrew Johnson, into Loftus Road. But Hughes will omit last year’s captain Joey Barton from the 25-man squad list he will submit to the Premier League for the first half of the season. Banished: Barton won't play for QPR again this year The bad-boy midfielder was hit with a 12-game ban after he was sent off at Manchester City on the final day of the last campaign and found guilty on two counts of violent conduct by the FA. Barton has already been given a final warning as to his future behaviour by the club but whether he will play again remains to be seen. He is wanted by Sheffield Wednesday but has yet to signal that he would join Dave Jones’ outfit and has been training with League Two new boys Fleetwood during the close season. Strikers Jay Bothroyd and Tommy Smith will also be allowed to leave QPR and have been training with the kids at Rangers’ west London training centre. www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-transfers-williams-gallas-is-a-qpr-1252155?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

www.london24.com/sport/qpr/qpr_midfielder_s_future_remains_uncertain_1_1479048?QPR midfielder Joey Barton’s short term future is uncertain after it was revealed that he would not be signing for League Two side Fleetwood Town. The 29-year-old is banned for 12 matches and it has been believed that he will go out on loan until January, at the earliest. “Joey has gone back to QPR,” Fleetwood manager Micky Mellon told Sky Sports. “His influence in and around the football club was nothing more than fantastic. “(He was) a great lad, up to standard for us, players saw how hard you have to work to be a Premier League footballer. “Nothing but positives came from the time we had with Joey. We always knew it was going to come to an end at some stage. “We did try and get him on loan. QPR did not want to do that. He has gone back to QPR and we wish Joey all the best. He will always be a friend of this football club.”

Queens Park Rangers move for William Gallas stuck over wage demands By Liam Power, Reporter Filed: Sunday, August 12, 2012 at 00:29 UK Last Updated: Sunday, August 12, 2012 at 01:39 UK Queens Park Rangers' attempts to sign William Gallas are thought to be stuck in limbo due to the French defender's wage demands. Gallas will be allowed to leave Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer by manager Andre Villas-Boas, but he is not willing to take a wage cut on his £60,000-a-week wages, according to The People. QPR want Gallas but are not prepared to make him a high earner at Loftus Road due to the player's injury record, with Gallas only making 18 appearances for Spurs last season. Hoops boss Mark Hughes has been active in the transfer market this summer, signing Gallas's former teammate Ryan Nelsen alongside deals for Robert Green, Andrew Johnson, Park Ji-Sung and Junior Hoilett. Gallas could make QPR the fourth London club of his career if he agrees a move to Loftus Road. www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/qpr/transfer-talk/news/qpr-move-for-gallas-stuck-over-wages_39878.html

For the QPR Katidis Giorgos Katidis expected to continue his career at QPR
By the end of next week George Katidis expected to wear the shirt of Queens Park Rangers and farewell Aris.
The administration of Aris FC a few days ago had refused the proposal of the English team for the sum of 330,000 pounds (400,000 euros) and it remains to be seen if something has changed. The only sure thing is that Katidis until the beginning of the week will be in Greece.
However by the end of the week it will be shown whether the Katidis will travel to England to complete the paperwork, signing a 3 year contract withQueens Park Rangers

Millwall to make decision on former QPR defender this week www.newsatden.co.uk/5104-millwall-to-make-decision-on-former-qpr-defender-this-week.htmlMILLWALL will decide in the coming days whether to offer defender Danny Shittu a short-term contract. Shittu trained with the Lions last week and Kenny Jackett has since confirmed that he wants to sign a centre-back before the Championship opener against Blackpool on Saturday. Eyebrows were raised when the former QPR star was not included in the Millwall XI that beat Bromley 2-0 yesterday as he is said to be short of match fitness. However, NewsAtDen has since learned that Shittu instead trained with the first-team squad that morning and took part in an eleven-a-side match. That suggests the 31-year-old is in Jackett's plans ahead of the visit of Ian Holloway's side to The Den. However, it seems unlikely a deal will be in place in time for the League Cup clash with Crawley Town on Tuesday evening.

This Katidis kid is exactly the kind of signing I expect from Hughes and Rigg. Same with that Zouma guy.

Katidis does sound like a good prospect and worth a punt at around half a million not sure we should be paying £7.5 million for 17 year old defender though. I don't know how good Zouma is but you don't see to many kids of his age playing week in week out and lets be honest we need a CB to do that right now

QPR plan to continue summer spending spree with capture of veteran Gallas By SPORTSMAIL REPORTER PUBLISHED: 09:29, 12 August 2012 | UPDATED: 09:29, 12 August 2012 Comments (3) Share QPR manager Mark Hughes is hoping to secure a deal to bring Tottenham defender William Gallas to Loftus Road. Having splashed out £10million on Belgian centre back Jan Vertonghen earlier this summer new Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is willing to let Gallas leave White Hart Lane. Out of favour: Gallas is well down the pecking order at Spurs Hughes has already made seven signings this summer but the Welshman wants to add more experience to his squad before the start of the season. Gallas has played his football in London for the last 11 years with Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs and is thought to be keen on remaining in the capital. The Frenchman has just one year left on his current deal and is likely to find first-team opportunities limited this season with Vertonghen, Michael Dawson and Younes Kaboul ahead of him in the pecking order.
