Can someone please call Sparky and get me some reassurance that Armand Traore will not be sold? How can we possibly keep Dyer and toss Traore? Say it isn"t so!

It does sound like there is a possibility most on here and other QPR fan sites may get their wish with Samba.
I find it hard to believe but evidently there is legs to this as even MacIntyre has confirmed it and that the move looks likely.
Final piece of jigsaw if that happens.

I'll take our Ex-Blackburn Center Half...And our Celtic Korean midfielder. But after that, no more for the 25 - including Simpson

Can someone please call Sparky and get me some reassurance that Armand Traore will not be sold? How can we possibly keep Dyer and toss Traore? Say it isn"t so! TF tweeted yesterday that he doesn't know where the rumours came from and we are putting together a great squad, not selling our best young players. Traore, just like Mackie, is not for sale.

Agreed it makes no sense to sell Traore. Despite his penchant for a lack of awareness of players getting behind him at the back post he's young, a great crosser of the ball and will probably start at least 1/3rd of the games over the course of the season. As for the Samba rumours, I'd love that transfer to come off! I'm still having visions of him heading every ball - at both ends of the park - last year at Loftus Road. He ticks the two boxes I want in a central defender - dominant in the air and built like a brick sh*thouse!!!!

So I'm sitting here in Portugal and enjoying my drinks when they say that we are likely to sign a central defender from Maritimo called Roberge who is French. I think, if I understand them correct, the president of Maritimo says he's going to London, but wouldn't confirm what team. The journalist says QPR though.
Maybe someone on the board could find any of these rumors on the world wide web. Eusebio, Rory or Mac?

TALKSPORT Exclusive - Adebayor to Tottenham won't happen, says top football agent Football agent Phil Smith has told talkSPORT that Emmanuel Adebayor’s move to Tottenham is unlikely to happen. And he has also rubbished speculation that Queens Park Rangers could be set to hijack the deal for the Togolese striker. Smith was instrumental in engineering Adebayor’s move from Arsenal to Manchester City in 2009, as the African star left north London to sign a deal reportedly worth £170,000 a week. But he has claimed the 28-year-old is pricing himself out of a move away from City as he seeks to resurrect his ailing career. “I was involved in Adebayor going to Manchester City from Arsenal and he is quite ruthless when it comes to getting what he wants,†Smith said. “He got a very good deal and quite clearly he wants his pound of flesh not only on the way in but on the way out. “And I think it’s a deal that will die on its backside so who is it that is going to come and give moneybags Adebayor the money that he wants other than moneybags QPR and I don’t think they’d even be interested in him.†CLICK TO LISTEN www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/120728/exclusive-adebayor-tottenham-wont-happen-says-top-football-a#l839GsC5u08Pyzhk.99

Adebayor is on ridiculous wages at Citeh and nowhere near what Spurs will pay.
Citeh want to sell but Adebayor won't take a pay cut to sign for them. A bit of a no-win situation for all parties really. Citeh don't want to keep loaning him out and paying more than half his wages every season but very few clubs will be able or willing to pay Adebayor the same money as he's on at Citeh.
We have the same problems on a smaller scale.

Roberge leaves for England Published em 25 jul 2012 às 13:29 (had to fix that horrible translation) The President of the Maritimo confirms the exit of the centre back to a London team, every indication is that it is Queens Park Rangers. After two seasons with the Maritimo, Roberge is leaving the Madeiran club and Portuguese football. The news was given by President of the Maritimistas, Carlos Pereira, wouldn't give the name of the London club. Apparently the French central defender will join the Queens Park Rangers, the Premier League. Ferry is also the output goalkeeper Pecanha, who remained one year contract. www.ojogo.pt/Futebol/1a_liga/maritimo/interior.aspx?content_id=2685767

Thx guys. As of what I hear from the guys here he used to be a bit rough around the edges and used to get a lot of cards, and some of them red. A bit like Diakite was in the beginning for us, but that sounds to be sorted now.
They rate him high and was one whom contributed to Maritimo having a great season last year. His suppose to have good pace, physique and a good football mind.
I guess we'll see if there is anything in it.

Not sure I believe Valentin Roberge's Wiki entry at the moment: Valentin Sébastien Roger Roberge (born 9 June 1987 in Montreuil, Seine-Saint-Denis) is a French footballer who plays for Queens Park Rangers in England, as a central defender. Valentin is affectionately known in Portugal as 'Um pênis' which translates to English as 'a shmekele '. On the 25th of December 2011 it was announced that Valentin would sign for English giants Vauxhall Motors on a 3-year deal as a gift from Jesus Christ. After successfully passing a medical at their Ellesmere Port production factory Roberge was informed that the deal was no longer on the table due to the plant announcing that it would build a new generation of Astra cars in a "historic" deal that would see it produce at least 160,000 cars a year. On the 29th of July 2012 it was announced that Roberge would sign for English Premier League minnows Queens Park Rangers in a deal which saw QPR's all-time leading goalscorer Rob Hulse go in the opposite direction. Hulse's shock departure saw thousands of QPR fans line the streets of White City in protest of the deal. Hulse proved his worth on his Maritimo debut by scoring 133 goals in his new side's 133-0 win against AFC Tavistock. I'm sure it will changed soon: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentin_Roberge

QPR to Launch Summer Moves for Arsenal & Tottenham Pair by Christian Bailey July 28th, 2012 Comments1 Loftus Road side keen on Emirates Stadium and White Hart Lane attackers. QPR boss Mark Hughes has already done a great deal of business during the current transfer window but apparently the Welshman still have a target or two he wishes to pursue as he looks to further improve his Loftus Road squad. Hughes has been offered significant financial backing from Super Hoops co-owner Tony Fernandes and will look to make tempting bids for Arsenal winger Andrei Arshavin and Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe, both of whom have struggled to secure regular first team football at their respective North London clubs. Russian international Arshavin has been linked with a permanent return to Zenit St Petersburg, who he helped to a domestic title last term during his loan spell back at his former club, but the 31 year old is apparently keen to remain in England. With his wife expecting their third child it would appear that the Arsenal winger is settled in the country and therefore a short move across London may well appeal to the Gunners man. Arsene Wenger is clearly looking to offload Arshavin having not taken the wide-man on the club’s Asian tour this summer and there is also reported interest from Fulham though a move to an ambitious QPR side may be more appealing to the Arsenal man. QPR manager Hughes is also looking to further improve his striking options. Though he has a fair number of forwards at the club there is speculation Jay Bothroyd, DJ Campbell and Rob Hulse are set to leave the club and arguably Jermain Defoe is superior to the others that would remain at Loftus Road. The Tottenham man was something of a bit-part player at White Hart Lane last season and with Andre Villas-Boas looking to bring in Emmanuel Adebayor in on a permanent basis following his successful loan spell it would appear that Defoe could once again struggle to make it into the club’s starting eleven. Defoe is a proven Premier League goalscorer and a player who may well have a point to prove and a move to QPR could well tempt the 29 year old. www.caughtoffside.com/2012/07/28/qpr-to-launch-summer-moves-for-arsenal-tottenham-pair/

Fabio this season for me and see where we go from there next season. If Taiwo could play CB I'd be more concerned about getting him back. He ain't returning, though, so we move on.

Galatasaray line up move for AC Milan defender Taiwo - report The Turkish giants have reportedly expressed an interest in the African stopper, who has failed to make his mark at San Siro since his arrival from Marseille in 2011

5 Comments 0 Awesome 0 Dislike Getty Images Galatasaray are lining up a move for AC Milan's unsettled defender Taye Taiwo, Nigerian newspaper The Nation claims.

And he is widely expected to leave the Rossoneri this summer after his name was omitted from the club's official list of squad numbers for the 2012-13 season.
Galatasaray have reportedly enquired about Taiwo's availability, as coach Fatih Terim aims to bolster his Super Lig champions.
It is believed, however, that the Turkish giants face stiff competition for the Nigerian's signature, with Benfica and Dynamo Kiev also credited with an interest in the player.

It was confirmed by several of the QPR press people on Twitter that Hughes chose not to sign him. We had first option on him (as we thought) but we chose not to.
