Maybe next season if enough people are interested....? QPR Official Site KIT SPONSORS SUCCESS Posted on: Wed 09 May 2012 The annual Kit Sponsors evening took place at Loftus Road on Tuesday night, with supporters enjoying the opportunity to rub shoulders with their heroes in the C-Club at Loftus Road. Gaffer Mark Hughes was joined by the majority of the Rangers First Team squad, just five days ahead of our final day showdown with Manchester City in the Barclays Premier League. First Team squad members and coaching staff that were sponsored this season were on hand to present their kit to each fan to acknowledge their contribution. Speaking exclusively to QPR Player - in an interview to be aired later this week - R's midfield-general Shaun Derry, said: "The fans have played a major part this season. "It was a great opportunity to say thank you to them on behalf of all the players. "This is a part of football that people aren't always aware of, but it's always nice to give something back to those who have sponsored us throughout the season." www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2764649,00.html

I went along to this evening - it was a good chance for my little boy (and me!) to come face to face with his hero's. Got plenty of items signed, and even had a little chat with one or two - including Mr Hughes.

I went to this as well. Thought it was a good event. All the players were there with the exception of Adel Taarabt who apparently was "ill". Thought the players really made an effort.

Poor Adel and what bad luck. That's every year he's been with us, that he's been 'ill' the night of the Sponsors evening.

I'd hope that the club will arrange a "make up" meeting between Adel's kit sponsors and Adel. And in the interim, have the sponsors meet with others from QPR

In that Vital QPR write up of yesterday evening, I thought it was very good to read about Barton and how he talked to the fans.

The Norwegian supporter club sponsored Cisse, but most awarding was the signed shirt with Dale Oen name and Barton number. Alexander Dale Oen was our biggest gold medal contender for 100 meter brest stroke in London this summer. He died suddenly last week at Flagstaff, AZ. It doesn't make it any diffrent if he's a QPR supporter, and I only realised this after his pasing, but to loose anyone at 26 is just to harsh. Hear's an article (in norwegian) from today. www.vg.no/sport/fotball/engelsk/artikkel.php?artid=10070272

That was tragic. When I was out there last year people were talking about him as a big hope.
RIP

Thx Bushman. I didn't see that post. Just wanted to point out the nice gesture from the players and the club. The signed shirt will be handed to Bjorn Soleng the president of the norwegian swimming assosiation, whom also I believe is a QPR supporter.

On the subject of kit sponsors (although a different kind), I wonder who will sponsor our kits next season??? TF has confirmed MAS was a one year deal and we already a new sponsor sorted out, I'm guessing it will be one out Air Asia, Tune Group or Caterham F1.

Sponsoring SWP should be half the price as the others. I mean buying children size clothes is always cheaper!
