Maybe that's inevitable. But its a shame West London Sport/Dave McIntyre
Defender resigned to leaving QPRClint Hill accepts he will leave QPR at the end of the season after being told he will not be given a new contract. The defender, whose current deal expires in the summer, had hoped to extend his stay at Loftus Road. But Neil Warnock twice failed to convince the clubs hierarchy to offer Hill a contract prior to his sacking as Rangers manager and the player has since been nudged down the pecking order by the signing of Taye Taiwo. Hughes was keen to sign a left-back. He was recently included in boss Mark Hughes 25-man Premier League squad but his first-team chances look slim, so Hill is preparing to move on. I think when you get knocked back for a new contract like that you pretty much know where you stand, he told West London Sport. Ill give my all if Im called upon and then will hopefully get fixed up at the end of the season. Hill, 33, went on loan to Nottingham Forest when he was out of the QPR side earlier in the campaign. But Hughes has indicated that he is reluctant to allow his fringe players to go elsewhere between now and May. I can completely see where hes coming from. A manager in his position will often want to call upon an experienced player if he needs to, said Hill. The managers spoken to me and has been top class. I just think the clubs now heading in a different direction. www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/defender-resigned-to-leaving-qpr/

Strange if you ask me especially given our league position. If we go down then Taiwo won't sign so we would need a player of his experience.
Personally, we should wait until the end of the summer and then decide on players.

Sirpiechucker even if we were to go down, I still think he is over the hill.
Seen his best days experience or not, also I don't think Traore would be gone if we were to fall through the trap door.

Arguably our best defensively minded player.
Dont think he warrants a new contract, but credit where credit is due, if we did get I'm not going to mention the "R word" just yet unless we get beat at Blackburn, but Clint Hill is one of the first people that I would be offering a new contract if we found ourselves in those circumstances.

So if Traore goes and Taiwo doesn't sign what then happens? Guessing you are suggesting we'd have to sign two left backs because if Hill were to go we'd have no left backs accept for Mr Borrowdale.

well to be fair to the hierarchy, they might well be biding their time until the Summer before offering Clint another contract, dependent upon our situation. I think he is a great defender, but I do worry when his hands and arms are all over defenders in the box. I was sure that he was going to give Chelsea a penalty against Luiz in our original fixture, for example.
