IN RESERVE: R'S LOSE 3-0 Posted on: Tue 29 Nov 2011 QPR Reserves lost 3-0 to Charlton this afternoon, conceding all three goals in the final ten minutes of an entertaining affair at Harlington.
Marc Bircham took charge of the second-string, and was pleased with the effort shown, telling http://www.qpr.co.uk: "We played well in the first half and should have been two or three up. Their keeper pulled off a couple of really good saves.
"It was disappointing to concede like we did late on, especially with two of the goals where the marking could have been better.
Article continues Advertisement "But it was a pleasing work-out. Danny Shittu and Jason Puncheon got an hour under their belts, and Akos Buzsaky played for 70 minutes.
"Akos looked sharp and played the game at match tempo. That's the whole point of these fixtures, they are put on for players to get match sharpness.
"There would be no point playing in them if you're not going to put it in. Akos really put it in and that will benefit him.
"And I was pleased with how Troy Hewitt did up top. He played the full game, looked lively and went close on three occasions, forcing the keeper into two saves."
Bircham, the Club's Assistant Youth Development Manager, was also happy with the impact the likes of Michael Harriman and Taylor Parmenter had, but reserved special praise for Bruno Andrade, adding: "He looked nice and sharp, and hopefully he is one for the future."

Given that Taarabt didnt play for the reserves vs Charlton, seems he's REALLY not going to get a look in - which is a shame

do you think mac? i dont think warnock could ever humilate our promotion winning captain and make him play in the reserves this soon into the season. (especially if he wants to get rid in jan) i havent taken his absence today as a signal he wont be playing, and im so hoping it isnt. cos we cant play derry again, surely that was made obvious.

if that was luke young it would of been a goal,
i dont like buz as a squad member, never done enough and that strop he threw at wafford was a embarrasment on our club. more so than briatore or paladini could ever muster.
and thats some task.

I still think Tarbs could make the odd cameo appearance before Jan , wouldnt risk him in a silly friendly with Charlton. I just cant get excited at Buzz playing 90 minutes for QPR , so many previous times ive thought this is the game , this is the game and so many times my heart has been left empty over the last couple of seasons.. Yes he played a blinding ball for Smith to score at Everton , but seriously dont think he is the calibre of player to take us to the next level . ie safety in the Premiership.

I don't think Adel not playing for the reserves is a sign of anything. I can't see Warnock making him play one and I can't imagine Adel agreeing to play one.
If SWP is out for Saturday then he has to play IMO. Unless we have Traore at LM, Mackie RM, Jay and HH up front. Actually that seems more likely.

More re Carter QPR get Carter by Setanta Staff , 30 November 2011 QPR: Defender linked with Hoops switch QPR have taken Dulwich youngster Terence Carter on trail at Loftus Road with a view to handing him a professional deal. Whilst Neil Warnock will be handed a transfer chest to spend in the January transfer window on established stars, the club's scouts continue to monitor local youngsters and Carter has been given a trial. QPR were not alone in looking at the youngster as Carter has been part of Dulwich's youth academy for the past two years and is a key fixture in their FA Youth Cup team which has brought the scouts flocking to Champion Hill to watch him. Dulwich boss Gavin Rose said: "Terence has shown a lot of promise and we wish him all the best with his trial. "We're still not sure what his best position will eventually be - he can play at left-back, left midfield and as a centre forward. "The trial at QPR is a good opportunity." www.setanta.com/ie/Articles/2011/11/30/QPR-get-Carter/gnid-119796/
