Napoli "viewed QPR players" | www.football-italia.netBy Football Italia staff Napoli “have viewed some Queens Park Rangers players,” revealed transfer consultant Gianni Di Marzio. The London club are surprisingly acting as a potential feeder for the Stadio San Paolo giants. “There are many names linked with the Azzurri and I can say with certainty that the Napoli directors came to view some Queens Park Rangers players,” Di Marzio told Radio Kiss Kiss. “I really hope they are going to make a bid for Adel Taarabt, the Moroccan striker. He was born in 1989, is very extrovert and spectacular, a real juggler of football. “He is a player who belongs on the big stage and could be Walter Mazzarri’s pupil, seeing as he can cover many positions in attack. “The time has come for Napoli to sign a top player, now that they are famous in Europe.” www.football-italia.net/node/12796iReader

As opposed to the unknown side that bought Maradona and went on to win the title, I take it. Why does football have more than it's fair share of clueless tossers? Hands off Faurlin, but as for Taarabt, I'll personally drive him to Naples.

Anyway, any team that once had the other Gianni on its youth books (till Gianni was 23, I think he said), will never be unknown to me! (I remember when he became our Chairman trying to find out more about his Napoli career!)

I don't see where Faurlin gets a mention in that "strange little article" , which it is, however, they probably own half of him already!

I don't see where Faurlin gets a mention in that "strange little article" , which it is, however, they probably own half of him already! It's because there was an article a month ago about Napoli being interested in both Taarabt and Faurlin.

More a pre-emptive strike just in case, as if they have been watching us then they've noticed Faurlin. Though this whole article seems like old news regurgitated badly.

this was the earlier link 2 weeks ago , not recent , 28th oct Napoli target QPR's Taarabt and Faurlin as Italians look to bolster midfield By Sportsmail Reporter High-flying Serie A side Napoli are plotting a double swoop for QPR duo Adel Taarabt and Alejandro Faurlin. Taarabt has long been linked with a move away from Loftus Road and a potential £16million move to Paris St Germain collapsed in the summer. And now Napoli, who are in Manchester City's group in the Champions League, have made contact with the Moroccan's representatives. On the move? Adel Taarabt (right) has been linked with a move away Fellow midfielder Faurlin is also on their radar after an impressive start to the Premier League season. Taarabt, 22, said: ‘I’m flattered by my name being linked with an enormous club like Napoli. Italy bound? Alejandro Faurlin (right) and Taarabt could be off to Napoli ‘QPR know there is interest so it is up to them but I am happy to win games for them and the future will tell.’ Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2054539/Napoli-target-QPRs-Adel-Taarabt-Alejandro-Faurlin.html#ixzz1dX7CSOVC

Agreed strange article.
Full of inaccuracies, half truths and speculation.
As I said in another thread if I had a dollar for every article I had read about Adel leaving I would be a rich man!!

Buffalo - simple question for you:
Everytime a know nothing, no mark mentions Adel in the press in order to garner themselves some column inches, will you always get this excited over a player that can't hack it in the Premiership?

you say he can't hack it in the premiership. we have played 9 games? He got 2 guys sent off aganst chelsea, because of him, mata and sturridge were taken off he hit the woodwork 3 times, he blazed a bunch of passes to SWP and you say he can't hack it in the premiership? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! Oi! Genius he was only dropped for ONE game! Which we LOST!

I suppose you think Derry is a better passer than adel. Okay, take away faurlin and barton, who the hell is going to pass to SWP or mackie or puncheon? Name one other person? Tommy? He's a striker. So you intend to dump adel, and put all your eggs in Barton's and faurlin's basket, because, my oh my, arent' they great. They will never get injured or suspended. We don't need Adel. Brilliant, just brilliant.

Ask Luke Young and Armand Traore if they don't need Adel. There's your answer. Joey Barton is hardly Paul scholes, and Faurlin is hardly david silva, or even james milner, at least milner can take a proper free kick.

you say he can't hack it in the premiership. we have played 9 games Don't forget his time at Spurs. I'm sure he strung a few passes together there as well. As for losing without him, it was our best team performance of the season so far, against superb opposition and we have been beat by much worse this season with him in the side, so your argument is entirely flawed in that respect. Your a bit like Adel, living on last years glory.

If he fails until Christmas I'll put my hand up and say I was dead wrong but heaven forbid, he suceeds, I will chase every single one of you from here till tuesday, I know who is in the taraabt camp and who is not, I'll just remind you of it all season. No threats, of course, just banter, it's no big deal, we ALL want to see QPR do well and we don't care who does it. All we wanna do is survive. Maybe I am dead wrong about adel, but that's the beauty of it, nobody knows.
