Blackburn Rovers are delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Clement as the club's new assistant head coach.
Paul takes up his position with immediate effect.
The 39-year-old has an impressive coaching CV, having spent two spells at Chelsea, most recently as assistant first team coach under Carlo Ancelotti, and seven years at Fulham, where he first came into contact with manager Steve Kean.
He was also the Republic of Ireland's Under-21 coach for three years.
Paul said: "I'm excited to be here at a big club like Blackburn Rovers and am really looking forward to the challenge.
"It's great to be linking up with Steve again, having worked with him previously at Fulham, and I can't wait to get started."
Steve added: "I'm delighted that Paul has agreed to join us. He is someone I know well and respect as a coach and will be on the bench with me at QPR tomorrow."

Paul Clement: Joins Steve Kean at Blackburn
PAUL CLEMENT GETS BLACKBURN ROLE
Blackburn have named Paul Clement as their new assistant head coach.
Clement will take up his position immediately and replaces John Jensen, who left Steve Kean's coaching staff at the end of last month.
The 39-year-old Clement has had two spells at Chelsea, including being the assistant first team coach to Carlo Ancelotti, and also spent seven years at Fulham and three years as the Republic of Ireland Under-21 coach.
Kean hopes the appointment will ease some of the pressure and responsibility on his shoulders.
Kean, under pressure after a string of poor results, knows Clement well from their time on the Fulham coaching staff a decade ago.
And the Blackburn boss, who still faces protests from fans who want him sacked, is looking to the new arrival to bring in some different ideas and give the training ground a lift.
"When you get any member of staff that is qualified to the level he is then you share responsibility, you delegate and you work with the players as much as you can," said Kean.
"It is great in to get someone with the experience he has.
"I have been an assistant manager myself for many years and you tend to take a lot of the responsibilities in terms of the organisation of the sessions and the meetings that have to take place.
"Often the manager has other commitments with the owners or the press and gets pulled away at times.
"But when you have an assistant who can work at the training ground and you dovetail and gel well then the manager can come back in easily and I am sure we will have that relationship because I know him very well and we go back a long time."
He added: "I go back to 2000 when I first met him at Fulham and saw him progress through the age groups before he was head-hunted to go back to Chelsea.
"He worked closely with Guus Hiddink and Carlo Ancelotti, with whom he managed to win the double.
"We've got someone who has a habit of winning games and working at a very detailed and high level and that can only help the whole club."
Clement told Blackburn's official website: "I'm excited to be here at a big club like Blackburn Rovers and am really looking forward to the challenge.
"It's great to be linking up with Steve again, having worked with him previously at Fulham, and I can't wait to get started."
Clement's arrival on a rolling contract appears to strengthen Kean's position as manager despite a start to the season which has secured just four points and left the club next-bottom of the Barclays Premier League.
The club spent last week out in Pune, the home of Indian owners Venky's.
There were different comments coming from those at the top of the hierarchy of the poultry firm with one person describing Kean as a "brilliant" manager and another insisting it was time to start getting results.
The Rovers boss felt the trip was useful for many reasons and did not feel any additional pressure from some of the owners' comments.
"India was marvellous. I think we got a little bit of bad press that it might have been a bad time to go but I thought the timing was perfect in the international break," added Kean.
"All the lads who went came back with a spring in their steps.
"We spent a lot of time with the owners in their own home and their own city and the vibes have been good.
"We all know we need results and we share the frustrations of the owners and supporters.
"But this is a time when we have to step up, get results and start to take games by the scruff of the neck and make sure a performance lasts 90 minutes.
"[We have to] put results on the board and do it quick. We have got enough good players, staff and backing from everyone to make sure we can do that so we will be going in the right direction."
Rovers head to QPR on Saturday having conceded 17 goals so far, with 10 coming in the last three league matches.
They went down 4-0 to Manchester City last time out but Kean stressed it was games against the likes of QPR which would define their season.
"We go to London positive on the back of a very good trip," he said.
"These games are important, the teams that are going to be round about you.
"This is a game which is more important than Manchester City."
