QPR welcome Blackburn Rovers FC .
Blackburn Rovers are our next visitors to Loftus Road and what an important fixture this is for us.
After the 6-0 Mauling at Fulham and with the prospect of facing three of the divisions top
six placed teams in succession after Blackburn , it's a fixture that we must strive to get three points from .
Over the years we have played Blackburn through some 16 seasons , 32 League fixtures
spanning from 1948 to 2001
As well as the League encounters we had two FA Cup defeats against Blackburn in 2006 and last seasons 1-0 loss when Jamie Mackie was injured.
There was wins for QPR in 1986 and 1990 in the League Cup and a further defeat in an old English Charity Shield in 1912 .
(See this thread from QPR report also mentions more on this.)

Rangers raced to an impressive 2-0 win at Ewood Park as Gerry Francis' troops marched on in Division One, taking their unbeaten run to seven games.A goal from Stuart Wardley in the first half and an injury-time header from Kevin Gallen were enough to seal the points for the R's.
It was Rovers who started the more positive with Rangers content to soak up the early pressure and pick their opponents off on the counter attack. Although the home side did control the initial proceedings, they rarely posed a menacing threat on the Rangers goal. Striker Ashley Ward fired over from eight yards after finding space from Jeff Kenna's cross, and Per Frandsen drove wide from distance.
The R's were almost gifted a goal in the opening period when Kenna headed just wide of his own post. Five minutes before half-time, Rangers took the lead after some slack defending by the home defence. Karl Ready's pass was picked up by Wardley, who shot past Rovers keeper, John Filan, for the goal that set the R's on their way to three points.
Blackburn tried to raise the tempo after their setback, and after a neat move, Frandsen saw his effort well saved by Lee Harper. Rovers tried to hit back in the second period, but they were consistently outfought by a Rangers side determined to keep their unbeaten run intact.
Damien Duff thudded a shot against the crossbar after the interval, but that was all they could muster in response to the spirited R's. And substitute, Gallen, put the icing on the cake for his team when he headed home in the final minute following a breakaway by the Rangers attack.
Chris Kiwomya's effort was only half saved by Filan, and Gallen was on hand to complete the job. It was a solid performance from Rangers as they recorded another win on their travels to boost their promotion hopes.
