NO PARMA FRIENDLY AT LOFTUS ROADPosted on: Thu 16 Jun 2011 The Club is aware that various sources have announced that the R's will play host to Parma in a pre-season friendly in early August. However, we can confirm that no friendly against the Italian Club will be taking place at Loftus Road. As always, we would encourage supporters to note that no QPR news is official until it appears on www.qpr.co.uk, or via our other social networking platforms. Further details with regards to our pre-season preparations will be announced in due course. www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2377084,00.html?

Of course, we once said we weren't playing China Friendly AT LOFTUS ROAD. (And that was true: We were playing them at the Training ground!) Friday, February 02, 2007 Flashback: QPR Report Feb 2007 - QPR Playing or Not Playing China Team?- It may be an error/"Failure to Communicate" (or maybe not) but AP is reporting that QPR are playing China, February 7 at QPR's training ground, Sipson Lane. In an AP Story "China's Olympic team trains with Chelsea" AP reports "..The Chinese team will play a Chelsea reserve team at Griffin Park on Feb. 5, then face Queens Park Rangers at Sipson Lane on Feb. 7, and Brentford at Cobham on Feb. 13." AP Note: January 23 QPR issued the following statement. (But in theory it could be read to say not playing China at Loftus Road. Not that no practice game]QPR Official Site - CORRECTION The Club has had it brought to its attention that Ceefax and Teletext are reporting a game between QPR and China on February 8. We would like to confirm that no such fixture is taking place at Loftus Road and we have already asked both parties to remove the story. Parma axe QPR friendly By Jacob Murtagh Jun 16 2011 PARMA have pulled the plug on their pre-season friendly with QPR – leaving the R's in a desperate search for a top-class replacement. Rangers were due to host the Italian side at Loftus Road on August 6 – just seven days before the start of the new season. So far, QPR have arranged friendlies with non-league trio Harrow Borough, Tavistock and Bodmin Town, with the most high-profile being trips to League Two Plymouth Argyle and Crawley. To make matters worse for boss Neil Warnock, any chance of facing a Championship opponent instead has been dashed as their campaign gets underway a week earlier. That leaves the hoops desperately trying to line up another foreign side in a bid to get a proper run-out ahead of their Premier League return. www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/london-sport/london-qpr/2011/06/16/parma-axe-qpr-friendly-82029-28891141/?

Very nice...
And there was being cynical and thinking we'd be playing them on the Training ground.
Wonder why: Is QPR's reputation in lower Italian esteem than Cardiff or Norwich or Luton/Stevenage?

So should we assume that if its on Parmas official site, or any team we are involved with, that its not happenning until its
on our official site? even if it has already happenned and it is not on our site. Should we then assume that we are hallucinating, or have lost touch with reality?
They confuse this fan, but perhaps its best to realise that this is a confusing world.

Tavistock AFC v QPR tickets Tavistock AFC v QPR tickets This is fantastic news for the club, and is sure to bring in some much needed revenue after the devastating clubhouse fire in February this year (click here for photos). Committee member Chris Fenner said: "We've had a hard time since the fire, but we're very lucky to secure this great opportunity to play a Premier League side." This is a brilliant opportunity to show your support for the club by turning out in force and helping to raise some extra funds. Hundreds of people watched the game last year, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Weather permitting, this year should be an even bigger event. Neil Warnock, Queens Park Rangers Manager, has strong links with Tavistock Football Club, and has visited with his teams several times before. As well as QPR, the lambs have also played host to Sheffield United and Crystal Palace.
