Vine would welcome chance to return
Rowan Vine would warmly welcome a return to stadiummk if the opportunity should arise.
The striker is desperate to leave Premier League new boys Queens Park Rangers, who have made it clear that he isn't included in manager Neil Warnock's plans at Loftus Road.
Vine's agent has already held initial discussions with Dons boss Karl Robinson and the 28-year-old expects talks on a potential deal to continue at some point in the future.
If a deal is struck it could well be a season long loan as Vine still has a year to run on his QPR contract and has not been released by the club.
A number of players who did reach the end of their deals were released by the London side, but Vine's future has been left up in the air as he remains on QPR's books, despite being told he wasn't needed.
Robinson initially brought Vine to the club on loan in February on an initial one-month deal, and this was later extended.
While at the Dons he made 17 appearances, scoring once against Rochdale, and it was an experience he thoroughly enjoyed.
He said: "The Dons is definitely a possibility, there are not many places I've enjoyed my time as much.
"I needed football and I got in a team which played the right way and reached the play-offs, it worked out perfectly."
If another loan move went ahead it would likely be at the end of the transfer window, when clubs tend to assess their squads after permanent business has been concluded.
"If I go on loan it won't happen straight away," Vine said."But a season long loan would be perfect as I'm looking to leave QPR, the sooner, the better."
Vine, who attended both legs of the play-off semi final defeat to Peterborough, said he wants the Dons to achieve promotion to the Championship next season whether he is with the club or not, due to the style of football they play.
He said: "Dons were so positive in the home leg and no-one would have batted an eye-lid if it had been 4-1 or 5-1.
"But then on the flip side it was such a negative performance in the second leg."
The striker's run in the Dons side saw him notch up his first meaningful sequence of games since he suffered an horrific double leg fracture in April 2008.
The injury, caused by a training ground collision with goalkeeper Matt Picken, was so severe that he needed surgery, but chances at QPR have been few and far between since then.
