Like the sound of this, but hope I can afford a ticket. Wouldnt pay more than a tenner for a friendly out of principal. I bet they even try and pull the Gold, Silver, Bronze bullsh!t on us in a friendly!

The Charterhouse of Parma by Stendahl a historic masterpiece of a novel. Somehow though, could never get into it.

Not sure Bushman, but those historic novels were hard. Liked the romantic ones. In terms of ham and cheese, I preferred Chicken Parmesan

They're not exactly playing top-notch teams Agreed, would have been nice now we are in the Prem to get one of the European biggies. We could have got Barcelona to come back and play on the Loftus Road pitch again.

For some reason I hate home friendlies. I always find then mind-numbingly boring and lacking so much atmosphere that it actually feels wrong for me to be in the ground. It especially feels wrong not to be able to get up and shout at the players my words of 'encouragement' as you just end up looking like a prat getting all excited and emotional at a friendly. Away friendlies are the exact opposite and I have never not enjoyed going to one! I'm planning to go to all the friendlies within a 50 mile radius of my house, just not the ones at home.

Know what you mean mate. Wonder how many stands will be open, let's hope it isn't just SAR like last season against Plymouth (really kills any chance of atmosphere at the match). Strange that they are playing us on the Friday and then Norwich the next day. Do we get the first team or just a Palma XI.....
