Taarabt is in conflict with national coach Eric Gerets. Taarabt said that he will never play for the national team with or without Eric Gerets. "The national team is over for me, each it's the same thing" he said. Morocco are playing a crucial match against neighbours Algeria and winning is a must for both teams.

If true, how does this guy ever expect to play for the big teams?

Wait till he goes to Old Trafford in the rain , he will either score three great goals or we,ll get hammered , he will through his dummy out again . Thats our Tarbs. Maybe the coach wants to play him in a certain position and he dont like it! Maybe their coach dont cook him a Mean Spag Bol !

Angry Taarabt storms out of Morocco camp Page last updated at 15:58 GMT, Friday, 3 June 2011 16:58 UK E-mail this to a friendPrintable version By Piers Edwards
BBC Sport Adel Taarabt (right) celebrated QPR's promotion to the Premier League draped in the flag of Morocco Queens Park Rangers' Adel Taarabt has stormed out of the Moroccan camp after learning he would not start Saturday's African qualifier against Algeria.
The temperamental midfielder has vowed to quit international football for good after being told he would start the Marrakech clash on the bench.
"I am currently in Marseille," he told Moroccan station Radio Mars on Friday.
"I never want to play for the national team again, with or without (Morocco coach) Eric Gerets."
I would now prefer to represent my country through my club Adel Taarabt
Moroccan sports correspondent Hakim Gazaoui has told the BBC that fans in Morocco have reacted with anger to Taarabt's move.
After the playmaker was told he would be benched for the Group D clash, Taarabt, 22, reacted by flying to France.
"I decided to quit the national team after learning that I was not going to start against Algeria," Taarabt explained.
"I left without giving any explanations to the coach. I did not want to create any problems within the squad."
"The national team is now finished for me. I would prefer to represent my country through my club." Taarabt was a key factor in QPR's recent promotion to the Premier League, being named the Championship player of the year.
He has had problems with the Moroccan team before, reacting badly when forced to start last October's 2012 Nations Cup qualifier against Tanzania on the bench.
Having played for France at youth level, Taarabt made his debut for the land of his birth in 2009.
Morocco were already without freescoring Ajax Amsterdam striker Mounir al-Hamdoui for the spicy Algeria clash, with the Atlas Lions keen to avenge their 1-0 defeat in Annaba in March.
Both North African sides lie in the bottom half of Group D, trailing Central African Republic and Tanzania, although all four teams boast four points at present.

He has let his colleagues down ,silly boy really , still needs to mature a bit more otherwise he could get us into trouble in the Prem if we starting losing a few games.

This could play out in our favour, other clubs might now think he is not worth all the trouble and look elsewhere.

Shame. He'd have fitted well in the French squad.

the man is class when he is at his best and i like watching him in a hooped shirt, but boy does he wind me up.
It won't play in our favour, if he's still doing his hissy fits at international level, he has learnt nothing all season under neil, i bet warnock is quite choked. He will do it again and again in the prem, most likely cost us points, he might win us points, but he will not get the goals and assists like he did in the championship, and this will add to his volatile temperament.
i'll say again, if he hasn't learnt then i fear, just hope neil has a plan B.

I don´t understand the coach decision to leave him on the bench. Taarabat was frustrated, because he was the first National Team player to arrive to Morocco weeks before the others. He was training like a gladiator in Rabat preparing for the match before joining the training camp in Marrakesh with the rest of the team. He wanted surely to win the game, but the coach decided otherwise. Eric Gerets does not actually like Taarabat, Gerets likes Boussoufa and has preferences of other Dutch speaking players.
In anyway Taarabat made an unforgivable mistake by leaving one day before a crucial game against a big rival Algeria. He created I guess a big mess inside the National team and loud voices are already shouting of anger because of his act.

so there is negative feedback already Karim? is this from the team and officials of Moroccan football or even the Moroccan fans?

There is no official statement yet from the football federation. The federation even claimed when contacted by some journalists that the story is not true. But the Moroccan nation is very very angry and you could see, hear and smell the anger everywhere in Morocco. But I think people at the end of the day will blame the coach, because you can not let somebody of Taarabat calibre in the bench in very crucial match.

How does it make you feel Karim , that he no longer playes for Morocco. Obviously you will still support Adel in the Premier League , and he still loves his country because of the way he finds a Flag of Morocco when he gets the oppurtunity. Maybe he will return to play for you when the Manager changes?

I will always continue to support him, because he is a great player. He will be a great ambassador of Morocco in england and I am sure he will shine. There is some controversy always around him, because his acts are not well understood.

We still love him Karim , he gives us a lot of pleasure but needs to sort out his head sometimes. You cant always walk straight into a Team , can you imagine if a big Premier League club bought him , they wouldnt play him week in week out. Luckily NW always fits him into our Team , im looking forward to August then Karim we will really see what hes made of.
Thanks for your posts !

He will return, when the coach changes.
If Morocco draws or looses against Algeria, it will be the end of Eric Gerets.

it's a problem if gerets favours the dutch speaking players, and if true, Moroccan fans like yourself must be really pissed off.
would you say that Moroccan supporters would put up with Adels moods even if it wasn't for the Belgium coach showing favouritism for other players.

Oh Karim , as we dont get too talk to Morocco fans alot on a different subject would you like to see Chamakh at QPR! Maybe we could get him on a season loan , Adel would be happy as there mates!

Yes I am really pissed off.
I think, there will be always supporters in Morocco who will put up with his moods and there will be in the same time people who won´t tolerate his moods.

I would love to see Chamakh in QPR next season. He will make a great pair with Adel. I am sure that Adel will be happy to play with best friend in QPR. Chamakh is a great striker and would be a great addition to QPR.

I'd heard Gerets wasn't exactly the easiest person to get on with anyway. and his preference for dutch speaking Morrocans etc doesnt sit well with me. He should be picking the best players, not those that speak dutch.

Karim I am certain he will play again one day for the National team , despite what his feelings are now . I am also confident that playing for the R's in the premier league next season will give him the platform he has desired , I think we will struggle "QPR" to hold on to him come January transfer window. Tarrabt is a football genius capable of things other can only dream of doing .
