Think all that he really says is he's open to offers , lets hope we put in one if we are up there! Loan star Walker happy to join Villa full-time Aston Villa’s on-loan full-back Kyle Walker has hinted he could make a permanent move to Villa Park this summer. Walker, 20, has impressed since moving to Villa from Tottenham on a six-month loan in January but doesn't know what his future holds. “That’s really for the two clubs to decide," he said. "I’m just happy playing football. “If Harry Redknapp at Tottenham tells me I’ve got to go and play there, he’s my gaffer and I’ve got to go and play there. It’s his word. “It’s a difficult one. I want to play for Tottenham, I wouldn’t have signed there if I didn’t think I could play there, but also I want to play football, so I just don’t know. "I’m just going to have to wait until the summer. If I’m playing football, that’s all I'm bothered about. I don’t mind if it’s Villa or Tottenham or whoever else. “Football’s a mad game. You never know what’s going to happen.” Read more: www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Aston-Villa-Tottenham-transfer-news-Full-back-Kyle-Walker-has-hinted-he-could-make-his-loan-move-to-Villa-permanent-this-summer-article726430.html#ixzz1KCMJLZHh Sign up for MirrorFootball's Morning Spy newsletter Register here

Birmingham Mail Aston Villa defender Kyle Walker targeting a title winner's medal this weekendby Mat Kendrick, Birmingham Mail KYLE Walker is targeting a Championship winners medal this weekend. But, fear not, the young defender has not taken leave of his senses by regarding Villa as title challengers following their recent revival. No, Walker is setting his sights on clinching a Championship medal with former loan club Queens Park Rangers before Villa play Stoke tomorrow. Neil Warnock’s QPR could effectively win English football’s second tier if they beat promotion rivals Cardiff in a lunchtime kick-off. Walker spent the first half of the season at Loftus Road and made 20 appearances during their march to the top of the Championship table. And the on-loan Tottenham full-back admits helping Villa to a top-half finish and winning a medal with QPR will complete a memorable first full season. “I was watching QPR the other night and I sent a text to Fitz Hall and Adel Taarabt saying ‘Don’t forget my Championship medal if you do win it’,” said Walker. “So hopefully it will come in the post or I’ll go down to collect it. “I think I played 20 games, so I was asking Brad Friedel ‘Do I qualify?’ and he said ‘Yes, you should do’. “It’s been like a whirlwind for me since breaking into the Sheffield United first team, then going to Tottenham, back to United, back to Tottenham, QPR and here. “I was speaking to my mum saying I don’t think I’d have ever thought I’d be at Aston Villa at 20 after only breaking into the side virtually a year-and-a-half ago. Sometimes I do pinch myself.” www.birminghammail.net/birmingham-sport/aston-villa-fc/aston-villa-news/2011/04/22/villa-defender-kyle-walker-targeting-a-title-winner-s-medal-this-weekend-97319-28564340/#ixzz1KGBMluKN
