The PL would never have the bottle to deduct them points. Hopefully the FL/taxman will come through for us with Sheff Weds.

This could turn out to be a very nasty battle indeed.
9 point deduction would make their season very interesting.

They get an injunction in a Texan court to prevent the sale, how does that happen if it comes under English legal system, can they do that?
The plot thickens!

The developments at Liverpool are the antithesis of all that Liverpool were about in the 1960s and 1970s...

RBS won't pull the plug on the tea leafs today, absolutely no chance and as Zed sed, the PL will do everything to ensure no admin. Also, RBS does muchos business in the US so won't upset their legal system plus obviously the two non sellers and the buyer are septics so they will obviously not flaunt a Texan judge. He probably owns a gun as well. The Texan injuntion has no meaning in our legal system obviously but impacts on all those incumbent.

Hi All - it states in the dailymail article - However, it will take time to resolve the issue. The club’s lawyers will now have to go back through the High Court and the district court in Texas to prove that the order is invalid. Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1320319/Tom-Hicks-George-Gillett-dig-John-Henry-arrives-clinch-Liverpool-deal.html#ixzz12KwOnBxSSo the order must have some bearing internationally but by the sounds of the order it is legalese confetti and smacks of desperation on gillet and hicks part. If the fact be known that the they broke the the financing terms then it is solely under an English court juristictional authority court and nothing to do with Texas USA at all and also how would they be incharge of an English Rules of Company Positions ? There are other complications involved with the listed Caymans entities and Hicks and Gillet will have to get this into a much higher court to cover international boundaries. To be honest it looks like the board shoved things through quick when they had a loophole but times are bad and hicks and gillet should just walk away. In the longterm the new American Owner will have to just put up with years of allegations bogus lawyer threats from Hicks and Gillet.....

this is being done by the venture capital company that financed Hicks, they want some money, hicks has sold his share to the company and now they can pay to buy the club.
