That's very quick work!Mirror Dowie called for crisis talks with Hull chairman after Burnley thrashingPublished 23:00 11/04/10 By Alan Nixon Recommend Iain Dowie and his staff were summoned to a crisis meeting with Hull City chairman Adam Pearson after this morale-busting defeat. Dowie has won once in four games since he replaced Phil Brown and Tigers have now even slipped below Burnley on goal difference - with time running out. Pearson is now taking criticism for the managerial switch and the publicity-conscious supremo does not like that kind of stick after supposedly returning as the Tigers saviour. So the pressure is now right on Dowie. Defiant Dowie coined the word “bouncebackability” in his Crystal Palace days but he will need to rediscover that quality to avoid his THIRD relegation. Dowie was at Charlton on their way down and was Alan Shearer’s No.2 as Newcastle United flopped a year ago. Now poor old Hull are finding it is third time unlucky The Hull chief is looking for inspiration by telling his players to be more like his skipper George Boateng, yet the Dutchman did little against Burnley. Dowie said: “There was one man out there who showed the desire and hunger and that was George.” That’s the trouble when you are on the slide - you clutch at straws. Frankly, Hull deserve to be in the bottom three. Second-season syndrome kicked in halfway through the first season and has never truly been shaken off www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Iain-Dowie-called-to-crisis-meeting-with-Hull-chairman-after-the-devastating-4-1-defeat-to-relegation-rivals-Burnley-article389183.html

Did they honestly believe that Hull's failures this season was solely down to the previous manager. They seriously expected that Dowie turning up was going to make everything right. I guess now they think a crisis meeting will fix everything.

Hull's problems started a lot earlier in the season.
