Rangers came third with 60 points, 8 points behind Bury who were champions. Played 46, Won 28, Lost 6, Draw 12. Goals for 98. Against 60. Top goal scorer Brian Bedford with 33.
Billy Cotton, was a British band leader and entertainer. Billy Cotton was also an amateur footballer for Brentford F.C.(and later, for the then Athenian league club Wimbledon. He was Fearne Cotton's(television and radio presenter)Great Great Uncle.

Tony Ingham No.3 challenges for the ball in the league game at Colchester Utd. Rangers won 1-0 with Mark Lazarus scoring the winner on his debut 17th September 1960. Mark had joined from Leyton Orient in September 1960.
