For posting on Facebook "I hope we lose"The Mirror Pompey starlet suspended over abusive Facebook post 17/01/10 By MirrorFootball A promising Premier League footballer and captain of England's under 17 team has been suspended by his club for posting an abusive message on Facebook. James Hurst, 17, who plays for bottom club Portsmouth, posted on his wall on the social networking site before last month's 4-1 defeat to Arsenal. Unhappy Hurst informed his friends: "I hope we lose today."Hurst has been banned from the club's Eastleigh training ground and ordered to train on his own after a staff member spotted the post and alerted youth team manager Ian Woan. Crisis club Portsmouth are battling debts of £60 million and have been unable to pay their players on time for three of the last four months. Talented defender Hurst joined the south coast club in July 2008 from West Bromwich after rejecting offers from giants Manchester United, Arsenal and Aston Villa. A Portsmouth spokesman said: "It is an internal matter which has dealt with by the club." Hull striker Jozy Altidore also got into trouble as the result of a Facebook revelation. Altidore was fined by Hull last October after telling the world he had arrived late for a Premier League match and had been left out of the team www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Portsmouth-starlet-James-Hurst-suspended-over-abusive-Facebook-message-article291485.html
