Ben Watson: Does NOT say "I only want to play for QPR!

In the game against Southampton I fell and picked up a small injury so my week has been spent either in the gym or on the treatment table. There hasn’t been much else I can do. Luckily it´s nothing too serious. I´m hoping to be fit for the Boxing Day game against Norwich but we´ll see how it goes.
I went down to the game at the weekend. The lads did well. It wasn’t the best of games and when Doncaster went down to ten men they really dug in and made things hard for us. It was hard to break them down but the lads ground it out and came away with three points.
That’s us unbeaten in six games and up to eighth - the Championship table is looking a lot better now, we´re looking up rather than down. If we can get a result at the weekend at Sheffield United then we´ll be right up there in the mix. It feels a lot like last season, but this year we are probably in a much better position as our run was only just getting started then. We´re only a point off fifth place at the moment. It´s an open league and you can´t rule out anything.
We´ve probably got more strength in depth in the squad this seasonI´ve heard the gaffer say that this season´s team is even stronger than the last and I´d have to agree with him. We´ve probably got more strength in depth in the squad this time. We lost a couple of key players over the summer in Clinton Morrison, John Bostock and a few others but we´ve signed new ones and had some players in on loan who have done well. The kids have come on in leaps and bounds as well – they´re all a lot more experienced now and the blend of youth and experience is working for us.
Sean Scannell is one who has impressed me, he wasn’t playing for a while but he´s come back in and he´s been fantastic. Also young Nathaniel Clyne has been a standout player, he´s only 17 but he´s come in and hasn’t put a foot wrong. Clyney has been playing like he played for the youth team – he goes out there and hasn’t thought about it, enjoyed it and has no fear.
It´s getting to that time of year again… Transfer window time!! So, just like in the summer, the rumours have started about me moving to another club. I´m used to it now so I just get on with it. What will happen will happen. Of course, it’s nice to be noticed and to hear some of the more outlandish rumours but my job is to play for Crystal Palace. It´s what I do every week and, like I´ve always said, I´ll never give anything less than 100 per cent for this club.
