Edit another year...Ron Hunt QPR's (small) Center Half/Center Back, Ron Hunt :- Born December 19, 1945. Hunt made his debut in December 1964 and played some 200+ games for QPR until 1972-3 when he forced to retire with a knee injury at 29. But of all his games, he is perhaps most famous for his role in QPR's third and winning goal in the 1967 League Cup Final when he collided with the WBA Goalie. Many Happy Returns Ron.
One of my favourite players from that era, 'small' in stature but full of courage, never found wanting in defence.
Another plyer from that time was Keith Sanderson, being a part timer he worked for IBM, having a player such as that today would be unheard of, nevertheless an excellant midfielder, his stature and body language always reminded of Gerson, one of my favourite Brasilian players.
Does anyone know of his whereabouts?
