Lincoln Official Site - Youth Development Board Update

The Youth Development Board held their monthly meeting on Monday.
Head of Youth Tom Spall presented copies of two reports by the Football League's Youth Development Regional Officer, Adie Shaw. One contained his assessment having watched the Youth Team's recent home game against Darlington. The other commented on the Centre of Excellence following his Technical Visit.
The Observation Report showed the club met all requirements in the areas of player, coach and match official accommodation, medical support, pitch condition and safety. It went on to say the conduct of the Lincoln City players was excellent and that of the staff was exceptional. Equally satisfying was the positive feedback Adie received from player's parents. The report finished by saying 'the officer would like to put on record how impressed he was with the conduct and attitude of the Lincoln City technical and medical staff'.
The Technical Visit Report commended the Club for working hard to make sure all coaching staff were appropriately qualified: one of very few clubs in the lower divisions to be in this position. In addition the Youth Department received positive feedback on its facilities, equipment, technical programme content and medical provision.
On the playing front Tom said he was pleased with recent Youth Team performances and results. He also reported that Kern Miller will be out for another two weeks with a broken toe and Connor Fitzpatrick will miss the home game against Rotherham on Saturday.
The Youth Development Board also discussed options for Youth Team pre-season games next summer, closer working relationships with Lincoln University, the adverse impact of the recent wet weather on the training pitches and plans to acquire portable scaffolding to improve filming of matches for training purposes.
YDB Chairman Chris Travers reported that sponsorship had been obtained for the recently acquired fitness monitors and Packet In Equipment and Consultancy will sponsor the Under 15s training kit. He said that the YDB appeared well on-course to achieve £25,000 in sponsorship this season.
