The veteran keeper, 40, had to endure taunts about his weight from Stanley fans. But the former QPR man had the last laugh with a wonder save which helped Daggers climb to the top of League Two. Roberts said: "I love playing and I love having the banter with the fans, especially here at Accrington as it's gone on for years since our non-league days. "I will be 41 next August but I want to carry on as long as possible. "It's brilliant for us to be top of the league. We just missed the play-offs last year and then we lost a lot of players." Roberts produced a stunning late save to deny Bobby Grant as Mark Arber netted the winner to send the Daggers above Bournemouth on goal difference. Accrington boss John Coleman said: "I have no complaints. We fell below our standards and let ourselves down."
