"We have made considerable progress in recent weeks and my visit to Taiwan this week is an important step forward in our development.
"With the arrival of Sven and the plans we are putting in place, it's important to realise that this club is going places not just domestically but internationally as well. Asia is an extremely important developing market for us."
Separately, Trembling welcomed the resolving of the issue with HMRC last week. He also revealed that the club are now investigating a number of financial anomalies as a result of further and ongoing due diligence, relating to issues in the period before the summer takeover.
"Our supporters will be aware of an outstanding sum of money with HMRC which was resolved last week. In dealing with this matter and as a result of further and ongoing due diligence, we have uncovered a number of financial anomalies that are being investigated.
"In an ideal world, a longer period of due diligence would have been entered into before the acquisition of the club. However, the circumstances of the club and the start of the football season dictated that the purchase had to be completed in a much shorter timeframe in order to protect the long-term best interests of the club."
As part of the ongoing development of the club, Trembling wished to re-confirm the Magpies' board structure which comprises Peter Trembling, Sir John Walker, Peter Willett whilst outside of the board and running the day to day football club operation is Chief Executive Gary Townsend.
There is to be change of company secretary with a Nottingham law firm taking over the role of company secretary and Glen Rolley stepping down. Trembling paid tribute to Rolley for his service.
He said: "Glen is a credit to the football club and undoubtedly has the club's very best interests at heart at all times. He has been a pleasure to work with and in supporting us with everything we have implemented in a timely and meticulous manner."
