Bees Manager Andy Scott has secured the signature of 17 year old Tottenham Hotspur midfielder John Bostock on a one month`s loan deal with a view to an extended term.
The youngster who captained the England Under 17 side, and has just been selected for England`s Under 19 squad for next Tuesday`s friendly against Turkey, was the youngest ever player, at the age of 15, to make a League debut for Crystal Palace.
During the summer of 2008 he was transferred to Tottenham for £700,000 with add ons and almost a year to the day of his Palace debut he became the youngest ever player at the age of 16 to play for Spurs when coming on in a UEFA cup tie against Dinamo Zagreb.
Andy said: " I`m delighted to have signed John as he has been highly rated for several years as was proved by him signing for Tottenham at the age of 16. Spurs are looking for him to progress and force his way into the first team reckoning and they feel that here at Brentford he will have the opportunity to show his worth. From our perspective it will give some added quality and dimension to our play".
On signing John said: "I`m really pleased to be joining Brentford. I know a bit about the Club and football in this league as some of my teammates at Spurs are on loan at Yeovil and Leyton Orient. It`s a good league and I`m looking forward to playing in it for Brentford".
John (squad number 17) is expected to go straight into the squad for tomorrow`s home game against Millwall.
