David O�Leary has been backed to be the Next QPR Manager leaving question marks over Roberto Mancini�s possible move to QPR. Mancini had looked a certainty to be appointed when he became an odds on shot for the job this week but this latest development has to cast some doubt over it.

David O�Leary has been backed from 40/1 into 8/1 with SkyBet over the last week and with next manager betting markets there is not normally smoke without fire. The ex Leeds manager must be in the thinking of the clubs owners and any further market moves would only increase that suspicion.

ROBERTO LANDI is fond of comparing footballers to finely-tuned Ferraris but today revealed he will not be joining flamboyant Formula One team boss and club chairman Flavio Briatore at Queens Park Rangers.
The London club, who are also financed by F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone, are on the lookout for new boss after the departure of Iain Dowie, however, contrary to reports, Landi insists it won't be him.
"I know the chairman and it is a very prestigious club. I am sure it will be in the Premier League next season but not with me in charge. I have had no contact with the club. No-one has spoken to me and I know nothing about it. I have seen my named mentioned with the job in England and I think people are jumping to conclusions.
"However it is good for Livingston that my name is being talked about, because it means we are being noticed for what we are trying to achieve here..." Edinburgh News

Darren Ferguson is emerging as the preferred candidate to take over as QPR manager. Ferguson, 36, has impressed with his work at League One Peterborough and fits the profile required for QPR's ambitious owners as a young, hungry manager.
Terry Venables, Sam Allardyce and former Italy keeper Walter Zenga, coach at Serie A side Catania, have all been linked with the job.
Ferguson was mentioned as a replacement for Stan Ternent at Huddersfield along with Steve Cotterill, Rotherham's Mark Robins and Sc**thorpe's Nigel Adkins.
