Queen's Park have signed Scotland amateur international goalkeeper Peter Hamilton after the 24-year-old impressed in friendly matches.
The keeper, who had been playing for Strathclyde University, had been training with the Spiders.
Manager Gardiner Speirs has challenged him to put pressure on current first choice keeper Scott Black.
Speirs is also hopeful of extending St Mirren striker Paul Quinn's loan spell, which expires after Saturday's match.
