IAN Holloway has told his players they must keep their cool at all times – despite having the best disciplinary record in the division.
The Seasiders have picked up 12 cautions and no red cards in their 13 Championship games so far this season.
That's better than any other Championship club and in stark contrast to Middlesbrough, with 25 yellows, and QPR, whose players have amassed 22 bookings and three dismissals.
Holloway is big on discipline and was hurt and angry when winger Ishmel Demontagnac was sent off for a headbutt in a recent reserve game with Preston.
He said his piece about Demontagnac but showed there were no hard feelings by starting the 21-year-old against Sheffield United in midweek.
In Tuesday's 3-0 victory, Neal Eardley was booked for a clash with the Blades striker Richard Cresswell just before half-time. It didn't go unnoticed by the boss, who had this reminder for his charges ahead of today's game at Swansea.

"After our reserve game at Preston I was a little bit alarmed, so I've had a word with the lads," he said.
"You can't do some of the things we did in that game.
"You need to look after yourself and stand up for yourself, but you need to do it with respect and not be over-aggressive.
"On Tuesday we did that and stood our ground. Neal Eardley was the only one who got himself booked, when he shoved someone.
"It was a particularly nasty challenge on him but if he'd have just got up and walked away their bloke would have had a yellow card and Neal would be fine.
"Instead it started a melee and you can't get involved with that.
"But you have to mean what you do. You have to care about it and it is a fine balance. Ishmel lost that in the reserve game and Neal Eardley almost did in midweek.
"We can't do that and I've told them. We need 11 on the pitch, whatever the state of the game. It gives you a much better chance."
