I'm aware of `Toyo Tyres, they also make chemical products but the picture above has the slogan 'Simple, Natural, Clean' not the first thing you'd think of in that industry!

I doubt this deal is worth much hard cash but with Flav's reputation in tatters she has had her work cut out. Well done Mrs Yamazaki.

And to be fair to Pete on WATRB, he did say there would be a sponsor announced.

All a bit strange really.
There are several Toyo brands in Japan, but none that I have seen use the logo shown in the picture. Why not even mention what they do in the press release? And no mention of how much the deal is worth....

Yes! I also found the use of "MD" rather than "Managing Director" as in "QPR Deputy MD, Ali Russell" a little peculiar (but maybe that's the norm; havent checked back.
Hunt that logo down! Find the logo. Find the company

Perfect.
Or perhaps they just made it up.
Like the 20,000 average attendance.

Perfect. Or perhaps they just made it up. Like the 20,000 average attendance. That "20,000" was definitely one of the strangest things I've seen re QPR - Given that this was an official legal document, etc, etc. Strange because it was so blatantly inaccurate and every fan knew it.

Not to forget that the official capacity is 19,148 (most state it at 19,100). That would have 852 of us sitting in the staircases or hanging from the rafters! On average!

Apparently the deal was done "a while back" (the advertising boards were up at Barnsley) but the announcement was delayed due to the "...adverse press surrounding the club at the time". Source: My postie

I don't think that official capacity has been checked since to changes to accomodate W12 & C club, even less now methinks. Very good point. The official document actually quotes that figure as a reference to attendance figures before the takeover but since they have come in with the changes to the seating areas in the SA stand our actual capacity must have decreased. So since the takeover they have actually done nothing other than drive attendances down both buy lowering the actual capacity and also by raising the ticket prices to an unreasonable degree both for the value offered and the present economic climate. I really hope the fans can dig deep and return to Loftus Road, though for some that will be impossible, as the players deserve more from the crowd as we do from the players and an almost half-empty stadium makes that extremely difficult even with the hardcore passionate fans that will always go and 'sing their hearts out for the lads'. New fans are not going to come whilst we are in the championship so until then whilst new sponsors are great for bringing in revenue and strengthening our boards business's, there is a greater concern for me at the moment and that is the decreasing revenue from ticket sales due to declining numbers. Maybe we need a Global Ticket Ambassador for West London?

My thoughts exactly mate. All very nice getting all this sponsorship in from the Far East (well some sponsorship...) But if we have a half empty stadium what is the point. Should be doing everything possible to get the local community and the floating supporter through the turnstiles.
Much as I dislike Mr Fayed at Fulham at least he knows a bit about customer satisfaction and getting people through the doors....

Having looked closely at the logo used at the Barnsley game, it appears to be a bunch of plums....
Anyone want to suggest a message board that they could sponsor?
;D

What's the point of a sponsor getting involved? So the sponsor will get good publicity, better image, people buy the product. But WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PRODUCT IS - COS THEY HAVEN'T TOLD US !

As for the 20,000 assertion: It was actually even more blatant that saying this was our capacity: "QPR is one of the best supported football clubs in the Championship with attendance at home games averaging approximately 20,000, in the 2006/2007 season." (Actually, QPR ranked 19th in Championship Attendance Figures with average gate of 12,936.] The Takeover Statement www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~1103904,00.html
