THE 2009/10 SACK RACE: You're fired! John Barnes and Peter Taylor take managerial casualty list to 10

The total of managers who have left their posts reached 10 with the sackings of Tranmere Rovers John Barnes and Wycombe boss Peter Taylor.

The total number of departures last season was 54, including 11 Barclays Premier League bosses - Alan Curbishley, Kevin Keegan, Juande Ramos, Harry Redknapp, Roy Keane, Tony Adams, Luiz Felipe Scolari, Ricky Sbragia, Guus Hiddink, Steve Bruce Wigan, Tony Mowbray - who either resigned or were fired.
The first sacking this season was Norwich's Bryan Gunn, who was shown the door after the 7-1 thrashing of Norwich by Colchester.
