Boys called up after QPR trial day03 October 2009 A coach is confident the Hemel, Berko and Tring boys he has taken on team up to overturn teams from a professional club. Garry Greenidge, a coach from QPR's development centre, picked 42 boys out of 100 at last Saturday's trial day to move on to the centre. "I was pleasantly surprised at the standard across the age groups," said Garry. "We are looking for pure, quality and we feel that some of the boys, without much work, will be able to go into the academy." When he feels the boys are up to scratch, he will pit them against QPR's established youth teams: "I think we will be able to give them a good game and in most cases actually beat them." The day was run in association with Arsenal Herts and Beds Supporters club. Their chairman Ben Roberts said: "The day was run in association with Arsenal Herts and Beds Supporters Club. Their chairman Ben Roberts said: "It was a real honour to be approached by QPR to help set up this development centre for the players in our community. "We saw some really great football skills on show and I am positive we will see some of these players at the top level of our national game in the coming years." Garry and fellow coach John Nolan will be holding other trial days for those who couldn't make it last weekend.
