Doh! From The Daily Mail - The rest of the article is fine, if a little silly. Sleeping giants: Ten teams that should be granted Premier League status for life By Mark Lawford - The Daily Mail... QUEENS PARK RANGERS Long, long ago when Gerry Francis had a mullet, he skippered Rangers to second place in Division One and a legendary club was born. With the likes of Stan Bowles, Dave Thomas, Don Givens, Phil Parkes, the Hoops became London's glamour club. Francis still had the mullet but had left the club when they finished FA Cup runners-up in 1982 and League Cup runners-up in 1986. There's a theme emerging here and everyone likes a loser. Francis still has the mullet and now Loftus Road hosts the richest club in the Championship, albeit the league standings possibly dictate otherwise. But QPR deserve to be in the Premier League. They slipped out of it in 2001, even camped in the third tier for a while, but we love their kit, their flair players, their South Africa Road address, the fact their Shepherd has a Bush and they once had a plastic pitch. And, like the kindly old uncle who always turns up at Christmas with a far-too extravagant gift, it's impossible to dislike the Rs. Hurry home.
