I vaguely recall this applied to QPR player, a while backFA lay down the law on ringsNorth Devon Journal - Thursday, August 20, 2009, REFEREES have been instructed by the Football Assocation to strictly apply the laws regarding players wearing jewellery and, in particular wedding rings. Until this season, at local level, it has been acceptable for a single band wedding ring, which cannot be removed, to be taped up. A friend of mine was wearing a ring whilst kicking a ball about with mates . Whilst having his turn ion goal he tried to save a shot and got his ring caught in the netting and it resulted in his finger being ripped off. The only good thing that became of it was that he became the World Champion at Hide & Seek ;D
