Bristol Evening Post - Opposition spotlight: Queens Park Rangers
Striker Akos Buzsaky believes QPR will record their first win of the season at Ashton Gate tonight – as long as their luck finally changes.
The big-spending west Londoners have yet to win either of their two league games this season after conceding an injury-time goal at Plymouth Argyle on Saturday to hand Paul Sturrock's side a share of the spoils. Buzsaky said: "We are going to put everything right, so I'm not worried about that. We just need our luck to change.
"Expectations are high at this club, but we are better this season. We have signed some good players and the main thing is that this squad has been together for a year and a half now.
"It's too early to say anything about promotion, but that's the aim this season. Or the play-offs at least."
However, Rangers will have to improve their poor away form if they are to make a promotion challenge befitting their status as one of the Championship's financial heavyweights.
They arrive at Ashton Gate without a league victory on their travels since January, but Buzsaky said: "I don't think there is a psychological problem. It's a new season and a new beginning."
QPR are expected to hand a debut to £3.5 million signing Alejandro Faurlin. The Argentine midfielder has been sidelined with a thigh strain and comes into a side filled with players boasting Premier League experience.
Goalkeeper Radek Cerny, defenders Peter Ramage and Fitz Hall, midfielders Wayne Routledge, Gavin Mahon and Mikele Leigertwood and strikers Heidar Helguson and Buzsaky have all featured in the top flight.

Bristol Evening Post - Bristol City chairman Lansdown launches new Crystal Palace attack
Bristol City chairman Steve Lansdown today launched a scathing attack on Crystal Palace as the war of words between the Championship rivals escalated.
Millionaire businessman Lansdown yesterday made a vigorous defence of his club after Eagles chief Simon Jordan branded City "cheats" in the row over "the goal that never was".
Jordan and Palace manager Neil Warnock are still seething over the Freddie Sears 'goal' which was controversially disallowed by Derbyshire referee Rob Shoebridge during Saturday's Championship match at Ashton Gate, which City won 1-0.
But Lansdown has now switched his point of attack, claiming the London club owe City money and challenging Palace to "put their own house in order".
The chairman says Palace have still to pay City £250,000, the final instalment on the transfer which saw Australia midfielder Nick Carle move from Ashton Gate to Selhurst Park in a £1 million deal 14 months ago.
Although that money was due to be paid on Friday, August 7, City claim they have yet to receive a penny and are still waiting.
Palace are already in hot water for non-payment of money to former players – and the Football Association last week imposed a transfer embargo upon the Eagles, preventing them from making any further signings.
Lansdown fumed: "Simon Jordan is accusing us of being cheats, but I suggest he puts his own house in order first.
"We have to put up with Neil Warnock complaining about a transfer embargo, but that is only in place because they won't pay their bills.
"They should have paid us £250,000 as part of the Nick Carle deal a week ago last Friday. But they had no intention of paying us on time and continued to sign new players in the knowledge that the transfer embargo was coming.
"They used the money they owed us to sign Stern John from Southampton. I leave you to decide who the cheats are."
Palace's refusal to pay up meant City had to delay paying cash they owed to Crewe Alexandra for striker Nicky Maynard.
Lansdown revealed: "There is always a knock-on effect in these situations and our intention was to earmark the money Palace owed us to pay Crewe.
"In the end, we had to find that money from elsewhere and that caused us cash-flow problems. In effect, we're paying for Crystal Palace at the moment and that situation is getting on my wick.
"We have to listen to Neil Warnock telling us the whole world is against them, but there should be no sympathy for Crystal Palace. We're the ones who are suffering, because we're still £250,000 out of pocket."
City have placed the matter in the hands of their lawyers and the club is making strenuous efforts to recoup the sum they are owed.
Lansdown said: "We're stuck with the situation of going through the legal process to recover money from a debtor. Palace have left us no choice but to go through the official channels.
"Given that Palace still owed us money for Carle, you could argue that he shouldn't have been allowed to be named in their squad for Saturday's game."
The Football League has also now turned down a request from Crystal Palace to sanction a replay of Saturday's stormy clash.
"The Football League cannot sanction the replaying of this fixture," said its chief operating officer Andy Williamson. "In any match, the referee's decision must be final, even in a case such as this where there has been an error of judgment. To do otherwise would be contrary to the laws of the game."
Striker Danny Haynes is available for tonight's clash with QPR after serving a one-match ban, but skipper and defender Louis Carey is struggling with a calf injury.
