Ticketing Guide For Season Opening
Posted on: Wed 05 Aug 2009
With three big home games hitting us fast and hard at the start of the season, a new way of getting tickets hasn't really had that much of a real chance to bed in so here are some helpful hints to ease any planning you are doing.
CARLING CUP: CITY v QPR - Tuesday 11 August (7.45pm) This game is NOT all ticket. However, season ticket holders were given an opportunity to claim their own seats before we released these seats and general sales started about three weeks ago.
As with all home games, we suggest that anyone wishing to secure a seat in the Flybe and Stagecoach Stands buys a ticket in advance. We cannot guarantee having any room left to allow fans to pay on the gate. Ticketzone handle our advance tickets and you can either ring them on 08448 444410 or book online at www.ticketzone.co.uk/
In the run up to next Tuesday's match itself, we will be able to advise whether fans will be able to pay at the turnstiles to the two seated stands. However, fans will be able to pay to enter the Blackthorn Big Bank for this match.
COCA COLA LEAGUE ONE: CITY v NORWICH - Saturday 15 August (3pm) This match has been designated as an all ticket game so the advice to fans is to head to Ticketzone to book tickets.
With large swathes of the Flybe and Stagecoach Stands already reserved for season ticket holders, there aren't that many seats left so, for a high profile match such as this one, it's essential to book your seat prior to the match to secure it for the match and we expect seats to sell out.
Generally, ticket sales for this first home game back in League One are, quite naturally, going well. However, despite the all ticket status, we again expect to be able to offer standing on the Blackthorn Big Bank on the day.
COCA COLA LEAGUE ONE: CITY v YEOVIL - Tuesday 18 August (7.45pm) This game is NOT all ticket and fans will be able to pay at the Blackthorn Big Bank turnstiles on the night. However, as mentioned above, the same message applies to fans for the Flybe and Stagecoach Stands.
We can't guarantee being able to allow entry on the night to these parts of the ground. We'll advise whether this is indeed the case in the run up to the match but fans should buy tickets in advance to secure a Flybe or Stagecoach Stand seat if in any doubt.
GENERAL INFORMATION In general, tickets will be made available for matches around one month in advance of matches. Details will appear on the club's website to advise fans of exact dates. We will have all ticket matches (as designated by the police) where NO tickets will be available on the day.
For matches which are not all ticket, we will allow fans to pay on the day as long as there is room in the stands to do so. Clearly this is more likely to be on the Blackthorn Big Bank with our impressive rise in season ticket holders, especially in the Flybe and Stagecoach Stands, taking huge chunks of seats out of action. Once again, Ticketzone can be contacted by phone on 08448 444410 or online at www.ticketzone.co.uk
