Statement from the club. I'm proud of them
Queens Park Rangers Football Club
Queens Park Rangers Football Club is known by other football fans to be a family Club.
We pride ourselves on being a family Club; yes, we are loud and proud as our true fans support our team with passion, but we do not welcome hooligans.
We have supporters whose attendance at Loftus Road goes back generations and those fans expect to be able to bring their children to our Stadium.
Foul, abusive, violent language and behaviour committed by a small number of people who attend the home areas is spoiling our real fans’ enjoyment and kids are now not always so keen on coming back.
Likewise we receive complaints from our fans about the behaviour of others who travel away from home. We need our real fans, not hooligans, to support our team away from home.
Entering the pitch during a game is equally not acceptable and leads to our Club being in jeopardy with the Football Association.
We condemn hooligan behaviour and entering the pitch, with those found to be committing such disgraceful acts facing a lengthy (or for specific offences lifetime) ban from attending our Stadium or purchasing tickets for away games.
QPR are determined to ensure that supporting our team continues to be a great experience and to remove from the Stadium those who do not share our goal of ensuring the Club remains suitable for young and old to attend.

Does this refer to any specific incidents ?? I know we have a hooligan element like most other clubs, its never really been a problem for me or affected my matchday experiences, but I can definately see how it could put people off bringing their little 'uns which no one wants to see. There will always be foul language, to be fair, I always apologise if I realise I am sitting near some little'uns, I'd like to think my language / behaviour isnt that uncouth that it puts young kids off coming again though. Some of these people simply drink too much & some of the foul sounding filth that comes ouit of their mouths isnt for young ears lets put it that way. Everyone should do the decent thing & apologise for their language if the situation demands it, some people are just too ignorant to be fair & thats at all clubs.

I wish and hope they distribute this to the press, or more wideley. It would really help the club and our image. We have had it on the pitch, with the china brawl, and in the boardroom with Paladini going to work with a bulletproof vest on. In fact much of our press has been on this theme in the last couple years. The youngsters on the tube station etc, all makes the news.

And this QPR Official Site - R'S BACK ENJOY THE MATCH CAMPAIGN Posted on: Tue 11 Aug 2009 QPR are backing The Football League's 2009/10 Enjoy the Match campaign. 'Enjoy the Match' aims to promote a family friendly atmosphere at Loftus Road. Last season, delivered a significant increase in the numbers of families attending matches. More than two million fans watched Football League matches with members of their family during 2008/09. This season, there will be a renewed focus on removing abusive language and aggressive behaviour from family areas with clubs stewarding these parts of grounds. To kick-off the new campaign The Football League has released its 2009/10 'Enjoy the Match' advert which will be shown online and on big screens at matches. It features Justin Moorhouse - star of Phoenix Nights and hit film Looking for Eric. To view the advert click here Commenting on the launch of 'Enjoy the Match,' Moorhouse said: "When I started going to football the atmosphere was a lot different. The language on the terraces certainly wasn't suitable for kids my age! "But the 'Enjoy the Match' campaign makes it a lot less daunting for youngsters. And parents can take them along without worrying about swearing and bad behaviour. "It means that families can just enjoy watching their team, which is what going to the game is all about."
