BBC - Lita in talks with Sheffield Utd Sheffield United have opened contract negotiations with former Reading and England under-21 striker Leroy Lita.
Lita, 24, was released by the Blades' Championshup rivals in June after four years with the Madejski Stadium outfit.
Blades boss Kevin Blackwell told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I've been in contact with his agent. It's a classic example of too many people talking for him.
"I'd like to think the kid could play his football and let the rest take care of itself, sadly it's never like that."
Lita has also recently been linked with a move to Leicester City and previously turned down the chance to move to Bramall Lane in January.
I've offered Glen a contract but I think his mum and dad want to get involved and his daughter and sister, so we'll see
Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell on trialist Glen Little Blackwell is also hoping to sign trialist Glen Little, but is again not happy with how negotiations are unfolding.
"I've offered Glen a contract but I think his mum and dad want to get involved and his daughter and sister, so we'll see," he said.
"He's done well and we've put in an offer that we think is genuinely worth taking into consideration."
Little, 33, is a free agent after being released by Portsmouth having spent the end of last season on loan at former club Reading.

Crystal Palace priced out of any deal Streatham Guardian - Warnock: We have no chance with Lita - Graham Moody ยป Leroy Lita will not be joining Crystal Palace after manager Neil Warnock revealed the club were priced out of a deal. The 24-year-old was released by Reading at the end of last season and was reported to be the subject of a three-way tug-of-war between Palace, Leicester City and QPR. Warnock, however, has played down the rumours and does not expect Lita to move to SE25. "We have never been in that," he said. "We cannot afford his wages and there is not a chance of him coming here. "I think his people just used us to get interest really." One striker close to joining the club is Trinidad & Tobago's Stern John, who has agreed personal terms but has not yet signed a contract, with a few outstanding issues left to be resolved. Defender Claude Davis is also likely to sign on a free transfer from Derby County but must first apply for a work permit which could take up to a month. www.streathamguardian.co.uk/sport/4521126.Warnock__We_have_no_chance_with_Lita/
