Leicester are interested in Birmingham City striker Kevin Phillips, according to two national tabloids.
Phillips was Birmingham's top-goalscorer on the way to their promotion to the Premier League last season, finding the net 14 times in 38 appearances for the Blues.
The 36-year-old joined Birmingham from West Brom in the summer last year after being deemed surplus to requirements as the Baggies gained promotion. And now it appears as though the scenario could happen again, with Leicester rumoured to be keen.
The fee has been suggested to be in the region of £750k, which could put off Pearson given the player's age.
However, Pearson is desperate for a forward, with Phillips no doubt possessing the experience and goal-scoring record that Pearson may admire at Championship level.
