And update Parejo latest Real Madrid youngster to leave for Getafe Posted : Fri, 24 Jul 2009 08:02:36 GMT Madrid - Spanish giants Real Madrid have sold youngster Dani Parejo to neighbours Getafe, for an undisclosed fee. Parejo, 20, hardly played for Real since returning from a loan spell at Queens Park Rangers in December 2008. Parejo, a Spanish Under-20 international midfielder, is the second youngster sold by Real to Getafe this summer, after goalkeeper Jordi Codina. Getafe president Angel Torres is quoted on Friday by AS as saying that "what Parejo needs is to play 35 or 40 games in the first division, and Getafe is a good shop window for him." Getafe have taken several Real youngsters on board in recent years, players who have helped them to avoid relegation from La Liga. Parejo will occupy the berth left vacant by Esteban Granero, who on Wednesday returned to Real after two successful seasons at Getafe. Another player leaving Getafe is Ecuadorean striker Joffre Guerron, who has been loaned out to Brazilian giants Cruzeiro for a year www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/278784,parejo-latest-real-madrid-youngster-to-leave-for-getafe.html

He must be the most frustrating player I have ever seen play for us. Players who have frustrated me in the past usually did so because of lack of ability and along as they put the effort in that can be easily forgiven (as it's the managers fault for picking him!). With Parejo you have a player that has the gifts most footballers dream of. A pure natural ability for the game. However if your not born with a desire to play as well then it can hold you back. Parejo was loaned out to us for one year and I can't help think that if he had played well for us and stuck out the season he would have the 30-40 games under his belt already and might be on the bench at Real this season. It seems to me that he was loaned to us for this reason alone and unfortunately for him Real still don't think he is ready and consequently might even sell him. Parejo can only blame himself for that. I really hope he puts his head down and concentrates on his game rather than his surroundings as it would be a shame to see a player with so much potential languish in the lower leagues especially after all the chances he has been handed. Good luck to him. I would like to see him playing for Real so that when we stuff them in the Champions League final* he will regret his lack of effort for us. *That should be in 2 years if the plan/project is still on schedule.
