Not sure I was as down on SDC as many but his scoring record was cack...very surprised that Sousa would want him and nothing in this story confirms this www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/412337/Swans-eye-Samuel-Di-Carmine-Paulo-Sousa-wants-Fiorentina-star.htmlSWANSEA CITY chief Paulo Sousa wants to bring Fiorentina striker Samuel Di Carmine to the Liberty Stadium. Sousa worked with Di Carmine, 20, during his brief stint as QPR boss last season, and the former Juventus and Inter Milan star has approached the Serie A club about taking Di Carmine on a season-long loan. Sousa is desperate to bolster his attack after Jason Scotland's £2million switch to Wigan, but Italian second division club Ascoli are also keen to sign the highly rated Di Carmine. Sousa, who refused to name his transfer targets, said: "I want to bring in new players and I know the people I want to come in. "A striker is the priority. We have already opened talks with some players that have the characteristics we are looking for. "We are close to finalising the deals. I hope it will be sorted in a few days so they can start training with us." Di Carmine has made three senior appearances for the Viola. Sousa will make his first signing as Swans boss tomorrow when Jordi Lopez pens a two-year contract.

That's interesting.
As I recall (could be wrong) Di Carmine ended his season loan/returned home without the normal thanks/farewell on the Official Site

I think SDC could be a decent player if played with a big lump. Good luck to the kid if he does come over
