First it was Magilton quotes; now Gorman...
Sporting Life - GORMAN PLAYS DOWN BRIATORE INFLUENCE
John Gorman insists he and QPR boss Jim Magilton are under no illusions about the task facing them at Loftus Road.
Magilton this summer became the fifth permanent manager to be named by Flavio Briatore in less then two years.
Briatore's reign as chairman has been controversial, with reports suggesting his influence at times stretches to selecting the team, but assistant boss Gorman is not fazed by the Italian's reputation.
"Jim and I knew what we were taking on when we took the job," said Gorman.
"We feel we are strong enough to handle it and have a good relationship with the people above us."

And these were Magilton's comments
Previously: Sporting Life - MAGILTON HAPPY WITH FLAVIO ROLE
- QPR boss Jim Magilton insists he will have no problem with chairman Flavio Briatore's input into the running of the club.
- Formula One chief Briatore has adopted a 'hands-on' role during his reign at Loftus Road, with reports claiming he has in the past even had a say in team selection.
- But Magilton, who is the fourth permanent manager appointed by Briatore in less than two years, is confident he can stamp his character on the west London club.
- "There is nothing wrong with people giving their opinions, but at the end of the day I will live and die by my opinions and my decisions," he said.
- "If you have bought a football club I think you have earned the right to have an opinion. I value people's opinions and I value the opinions of everyone at the club - but in the end they'll agree that I'm right!"
